Abstract

Implementasi Kurikulum 2013 dapat dilihat sebagai upaya untuk menyediakan landasan bagi pembentukan sikap pada generasi muda melalui pendidikan. Salah satu faktor penting yang menentukan ketercapaian tujuan kurikulum adalah dukungan dari buku teks sebagai komponen yang paling banyak dijadikan rujukan dalam menyusun pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kandungan sikap yang terdapat di dalam buku teks Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Kurikulum 2013 untuk kelas VII SMP dan melihat implementasi sikap tersebut dalam pembelajaran. Kandungan sikap yang diukur adalah kompetensi sikap religius dan kompetensi sikap sosial menurut Kompetensi Inti 1 dan Kompetensi Inti 2 Kurikulum 2013 ditambah sikap ilmiah. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Objek penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling, yaitu tiga kompetensi dasar dalam mata pelajaran IPA kelas VII SMP, sedangkan observasi pembelajaran dilakukan pada tiga kelas dengan guru yang berbeda. Data diperoleh melalui studi dokumentasi, observasi pembelajaran, dan wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk menjaring data adalah rubrik dokumentasi sikap pada buku dan RPP, lembar observasi pembelajaran, dan panduan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan kompetensi sikap religius pada buku teks adalah sebesar 0%, kandungan kompetensi sikap sosial sebesar 33%, dan kandungan sikap ilmiah sebesar 46%, yang tergolong kategori rendah. Implementasi kompetensi sikap religius pada RPP adalah sebesar 56%, implementasi kompetensi sikap sosial sebesar 59%, dan implementasi sikap ilmiah sebesar 52%, dengan kategori rendah. Implementasi kompetensi sikap religius pada proses pembelajaran berada pada kategori sangat rendah dengan persentase sebesar 54%, implementasi kompetensi sikap sosial berada pada kategori rendah dengan persentase sebesar 64%, dan implementasi sikap ilmiah adalah sebesar 67% dengan kategori cukup. Kandungan sikap religius, sosial dan sikap ilmiah yang rendah mengurangi peran buku teks sebagai sumber belajar dan pemandu pembelajaran yang dapat menunjang tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran dalam dimensi sikap. Hal ini berimplikasi pada rendahnya tingkat implementasi pembentukan sikap dalam pembelajaran yang berlangsung di kelas. Keadaan ini dikhawatirkan akan menghambat tercapainya tujuan implementasi Kurikulum 2013 dan tujuan pendidikan nasional secara umum untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang berkarakter unggul, cerdas, dan terampil. Kata kunci: Analisis buku, kompetensi sikap, sikap ilmiah, Kurikulum 2013 Implementation of the 2013 curriculum is an attempt to halt the moral decadency of Indonesian youth and to provide legal and systematic baseline on character building through education. Key factor determining the success of the new curriculum in achieving it’s grand purpose is the support of a textbook as the most visible and most referred component of a curriculum. The study aims to scrutiny the 2013 curriculum’s official science textbook for junior high school and documented the character building indicators contained inside, explicit and implicitly, and observes the learning process to acquire the pattern of it’s implementation by the teachers. Any texts, activities, tasks, suggestions, and graphics that will help build character and scientific attitude contained in the selected chapter of the book were tabulated to be compared with curriculum’s objectives. Thus, providing insight to the textbook’s congruity on supporting the curriculum’s objectives. Classroom learning process is observed to obtain the implementation patterns of the character and scientific attitude building attempt by the teacher. This is a descriptive qualitative study. Subjects of the study was selected by purposive sampling technique. Data obtained through documentation and observation technique. Results shows the textbook contained very few material that could help build student’s character. The textbook contained very low character building indicators, at 26%. The official textbook focused heavily on science subject and doesn’t run in accordance with curriculum’s purpose on character building. Implementation of character building in lesson plan falls within low category at 56%,. Similar result was observed from the classroom learning process, where the implementation of character building in learning process also fall within low category at 61%. Proving the textbook unreliable as a guidance in developing a balanced learning between subject matter and character building.
