Abstract

Muhammad Abror (1301571). Efektivitas Penggunaan Media Virtual Reality Grazie Aerial Sky Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Dalam Pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (Studi Kuasi Eksperimen pada Mata Pelajaran IPS terhadap Siswa Kelas VII SMP Kahuripan Lembang). Skripsi Departemen Kurikulum dan Teknologi Pendidikan, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Tahun 2017. Media Grazie Aerial Sky Virtual Reality (GAS-VR) berbentuk aplikasi smartphone. Hal yang menarik dari media GAS-VR yaitu adanya fitur virtual reality yang disematkan dan merupakan inti dari media ini, sehingga siswa dapat menerima materi dengan lebih baik dan hasil belajar siswa meningkat. Penelitian ini menjawab permasalahan penelitian yang bertitik tolak dari rumusan masalah umum yaitu: bagaimana efektivitas media GAS-VR terhadap hasil belajar siswa ranah kognitif dalam mata pelajaran IPS kelas VII SMP Kahuripan Lembang. Secara lebih khusus yaitu: apakah terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan pada aspek Mengingat (C1), Memahami (C2), Menerapkan (C3) antara menggunakan media pembelajaran GAS-VR dengan media pembelajaran presentasi dalam mata pelajaran IPS pada pokok bahasan bentuk muka bumi di SMP Kahuripan Lembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Sementara populasinya yaitu siswa kelas VII SMP Kahuripan Lembang dan sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling dan didapatkan pada kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes. Secara umum disimpulkan bahwa media GAS-VR dapat dikatakan efektif terbukti dengan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan pada siswa yang menggunakan media pembelajaran GAS-VR dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan media pembelajaran presentasi dalam mata pelajaran IPS pada pokok bahasan bentuk muka bumi di SMP Kahuripan Lembang.---Muhammad Abror (1301571). The interesting thing about media GAS-VR is the existence of virtual reality embedded in it which is the core of this media, so that students can receive the material better and student learning outcomes increase. This study answered the common research problem: how is the effectivity of media GAS-VR towards students’ learning result of cognitive domain. Specifically, the study investigated whether there is an increase in student learning outcomes, the aspects of remembering (C1), understanding (C2), and applying (C3) between using Grazie Aerial Sky Virtual Reality (GAS-VR) learning media with presentation learning media in social subjects on the topic of earth shape at Kahuripan Junior High School of Lembang. The research method used in this research was quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design and the population is class VII A as exsperimental group and class VII B as control group. Instruments in this study were also by tests. It is generally concluded that media GAS-VR has effectiveness. Because, there is a significant improvement of learning outcomes of students using media Grazie Aerial Sky Virtual Reality (GAS-VR) compared with students using presentation media in socials subjects discussing the shape of the earth in SMP Kahuripan Lembang.
