Abstract

Penelitian yang berjudul “Penggunaan Buku Catatan Interaktif untuk Menilai Kemampuan Literasi Kuantitatif Siswa pada Materi Ekosistem” bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Buku Catatan Interaktif (BCI) sebagai perangkat asesmen alternatif untuk menilai kemampuan literasi kuantitatif siswa pada materi ekosistem. Keterampilan literasi kuantitatif meliputi keterampilan interpretasi, representasi, analisis, asumsi, kalkulasi, dan komunikasi yang terintegrasi dengan task. BCI memiliki rubrik penilaian rating scale yang mengacu pada indikator-indikator literasi kuantitatif yang dirumuskan oleh AAC&U (2011). Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan dua tahapan penelitian yaitu tahap uji coba dan tahap penerapan. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah random cluster sampling. Sampel yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas X MIA yang terdiri dari dua kelas. Kelas pertama digunakan untuk tahap uji coba, sedangkan kelas kedua digunakan untuk tahap penerapan. Kualitas perangkat BCI distandardisasi dengan perangkat asesmen tes soal pilihan ganda literasi kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validitas dan reliabilitas BCI diketahui cukup valid sebesar 0,66 dan memiliki reliabilitas sangat baik sebesar 0,80. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini bahwa penggunaan BCI dapat mengembangkan dan menilai kemampuan literasi kuantitatif siswa pada materi ekosistem. Karakteristik, respon guru, dan saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya telah dibahas. Kata Kunci: Buku Catatan Interaktif, Literasi Kuantitatif, Materi Ekosistem, Asesmen Alternatif This study is entitled “The Use of Interactive Student Notebook for Assessing Student’s Quantitative Literacy Skill on Ecosystem Lesson”. The purpose of this study was to producing Interactive Student Notebook (ISN) as alternative assessment tool for assessing student’s quantitative literacy skill on ecosystem lesson. Quantitative literacy skill included ability to make interpreting, representation, asumption, analysis, calculate, and communicating that integrated into the task. ISN is assessed with rating scale assessment rubric that refer to quantitative literacy indicators which summarized by AAC&U (2011). This study used descriptive method with two stages implementation research, trial stage and true implementation stage. The sample in this study included first grade senior high school science student on two different class. The first class is used as trial implementation stage and the second class is used as true implementation stage. ISN’s quality is determined with multiple choice of quantitative literacy assessment test which previously quality tested. Results revealed validity and reliability of ISN was 0,66 (significantly valid) and 0,80 (very reliable). The conclusion of this study expressed that ISN is feasible to promote and assessing student’s quantitative literacy skill on ecosystem lesson.
