Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan literasi informasi siswa, khususnya dalam pembelajaran IPS di masa pamdemi covid 19. Kurangnya kemampuan siswa mengolah informasi dari sumber pembelajaran yang didapat secara bebas dari internet, sehingga hasil pembelajaran tidak begitu baik. Maka dari itu perlu inovasi kegiatan pembelajaran yang mendukung peningkatan keterampilan literasi informasi. Melalui penggunaan website pembelajaran IPS dari perangkat Google site, siswa diajak menelusuri, memahami, menganalisis informasi terkait nilai yang ada dalam pembelajaran IPS. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif & kualitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Cikupa tahun ajar 2019/2020. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII-C sebanyak 35 siswa. Pada kegiatan pembelajaran yang peneliti lakukan, siswa terlihat mampu menggunakan keterampilan literasi informasi yaitu terutama dalam mengolah informasi dari berbagai sumber. Hal ini diketahui juga dari pengamatan peneliti pada keterampilan literasi informasi siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS, dengan indikator eight empowering sebagai standar kemampuan literasi informasi, kemudian dikemas menggunakan teknologi perangkat Google site sebagai media pembelajaran IPS. Dalam tahap identifikasi nilai rata-rata yang didapat 26,77, tahapan seleksi nilai rata-rata yang didapatkan 20,80 , tahapan ekplorasi nilai rata-rata yang didapatkan 31,49, tahapan organisasi nilai rata-rata yang didapatkan 35,94, tahapan penciptaan nilai rata-rata yang didapatkan 20,63, tahapan prasentasi nilai rata-rata yang didapatkan 23,54, tahapan menilai nilai rata-rata yang didapatkan 26,11, tahapan penerapan nilai rata-rata yang didapatkan 26,77. Pembelajaran yang peneliti lakukan mampu menggambarkan keterampilan literasi informasi siswa yaitu terutama dalam mengolah informasi dari berbagai sumber.; This study is motivated by low information literacy among students, particularly in social studies learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The lack of students' ability to process information from various learning sources obtained freely from the internet results in poor learning outcomes. Therefore, innovative learning activities that support the development of students' information literacy skills are required. Through the social studies learning website from the Google site, students are invited to explore, understand, and analyze information related to values in social studies learning. This study used descriptive research methods with quantitative & qualitative approaches. The population of this study was eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Cikupa in the 2019/2020 academic year. This study samples up to 35 students of VIII-C class. In the learning activities carried out by researchers, students are using information literacy skills, especially in processing information from various sources. Students' information literacy skills can also be seen from researchers' observations using the eight empowerment indicator as a standard for information literacy skills, presented through Google Site device technology as social studies learning media. In the identification stage, the average value obtained was 26.77, the stage of selecting the average value obtained was 20.80, the exploration stage the average value obtained was 31.49, the organizational stage the average value was 35.94, the stage creation of the average value obtained was 20.63, the stage of presenting the average value obtained was 23.54, the stage of assessing the average value obtained was 26.11, the stage of application of the average value obtained was 26.77.
