Abstract

Model pembelajaran Level Of Inquiry (LoI) dan Learning cycle 5E’ merupakan pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri (IBL) yang saat ini sudah mulai diaplikasikan karena kesesuaiannya dengan kurikulum 2013 untuk dikembangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbandingan efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran LoI dan 5E’ pada materi sistem pernapasan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimen) dengan nonequivalen comparison grup design. Untuk mendukung pelaksanaan penelitian, instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dan LKPD. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak dua pertemuan pada dua kelas XI SMA di Kota Bandung dan dilakukan pengambilan data penguasaan konsep berupa pretest sebelum pembelajaran dan posttest setelah pembelajaran. Masing-masing kelas terdapat 36 orang siswa kelas, satu kelas LoI dan satu kelas 5E’. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor pengujian N-Gain penguasaan konsep dengan Sig.2-tailed 0,00< α = 0,05 baik pada kelas LoI maupun kelas 5E’, maka terdapat perbedaan signifikansi antara penerapan model LoI dan 5E’. Perbedaan signifikan tersebut juga terlihat dari respon siswa saat pembelajaran pada kelas LoI yang diukur. Pada kelas LoI hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa siswa merasa baru pada model pembelajaran yang digunakan sehingga terasa lebih senang, termotifasi, dan aktif selama pembelajaran berlangsung dibandingkan dengan penggunaan pembelajaran pada kelas 5E. Pada kelas 5E siswa sama seperti LoI, yaitu siswa merasa aktif namun untuk senang dan termotifasi siswa kurang setuju yang terlihat dari hasil angket dengan perolehan presentase lebih rendah. ..... The purpose of this study was to look at the comparison of the effectiveness of the application of LoI and 5E' learning models on respiratory system material. Research conducted is quasi-experimental research (quasi experiment). The research method used is quasi-experimental (quasi experiment) with nonequivalent comparison group design. To support the implementation of the research, a research instrument was prepared in the form of Learning Implementation Plans (RPP) and LKPD. The study was conducted as many as two meetings in two class XI high school in the city of Bandung and carried out data mastery of concepts from the pretest before learning and posttest after learning. In this research used two class, XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3. Each class contains 36 class students. The results showed that the testing of N-Gain mastery of the concept with Sig.2-tailed 0.00 <α = 0.05 both in LoI or 5E class, there was a significance between the application of LoI and 5E models'. Significant differences are also seen from students' responses when learning in the LoI class that is measured. In the LoI class the results of the questionnaire show that new students in a learning model that is more useful, motivated, and active during learning takes place using learning in class 5E. In class 5E students are the same as LoI, that is, people who feel happy but still happy and motivated by students are less than those seen from the results of the questionnaire with lower percentage ownership.
