Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya dan masih belum optimalnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan belief matematis siswa. Telaah ini akan membahas mengenai pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan belief matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh strategi pembelajaran Everyone Is A Teacher Here disertai tugas superitem (ETHSI) dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional, ditinjau dari keseluruhan dan kategori kemampuan awal matematika siswa (tinggi, sedang, dan rendah). Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain kelompok perbandingan kelompok statis. Populasi penelitian merupakan siswa kelas VII pada salah satu SMP Negeri di Lembang yang terdaftar pada Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015, diambil dua kelas sebagai sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, skala belief matematis dan lembar observasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh strategi pembelajaran ETHSI lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional; 2) ditinjau dari KAM siswa, diperoleh bahwa pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelompok KAM tinggi dan sedang yang memperoleh strategi pembelajaran ETHSI lebih baik dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional, sedangkan untuk siswa kelompok KAM rendah yang memperoleh strategi ETHSI tidak lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional; 3) pada kelas ETHSI, terdapat perbedaan pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada siswa kelompok KAM tinggi dengan siswa kelompok KAM sedang dengan kelompok KAM rendah; 4) Tidak terdapat perbedaan belief matematis siswa antara siswa yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran ETHSI dengan siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional ;--- This research is based on the importance of students’ problem solving ability and mathematical belief, however this attainment hasn’t been optimized yet. This study examined the attainment of mathematical problem solving ability and mathematical belief difference between student who acquire learning strategies Everyone Is A Teacher Here accompanied by superitem task (ETHSI) and student who acquire conventional learning, in term of the overall and category of early mathematical ability (EMA) of student (high, medium, low). The method used is quasi experimental with the statis-group comparison design. The population is the seventh-grade students’ from one of junior high schools in Lembang year 2014/2015, the sampling was taken purposively two classes. The instruments used in this research are test of mathematical problem solving ability, mathematical beliefs scale, and observation sheet. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analyses. The results showed that: 1) overall attainment of mathematical problem solving ability of student who got ETHSI learning were better than students who got conventional learning, 2) in term of EMA students, the results showed that the high achiever and medium achiever students who got ETHSI learning attained better in mathematical problem solving ability than student who got conventional learning, while the low achiever students who got ETHSI learning did not attain better than student who got conventional learning, 3) at the ETHSI class, there are several difference in attainment of problem solving ability among high achiever EMA students and student medium achiever EMA student and low achiever EMA students, 4) there is no significant difference in mathematical belief between student who obtain ETHSI learning and student who obtain conventional learning.
