Abstract

Penelitian ini berangkat dari masalah kemampuan membaca pemahaman mahasiswa semester tiga yang masih belum mencapai tingkat kemampuan yang seharusnya. Penggunaan metode/teknik pembelajaran yang kurang variatif menjadi salah satu penyebab dari masalah tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektifitas teknik Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition dalam pembelajaran Chukyuu Dokkai. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan bahasa Jepang semester tiga Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas A ditetapkan menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas B ditetapkan menjadi kelas kontrol. Instrument yang digunakan adalah tes dan angket. Dari hasil analisis data dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks/wacana bahasa Jepang kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dengan kata lain, bahwa teknik Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition efektif terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks/wacana bahasa Jepang dalam pembelajaran Chukyuu Dokkai. Kata Kunci: teknik Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition, pembelajaran Chukyuu Dokkai This study departs from reading comprehension problems of the third semester students who have not yet reached the expected level of ability. The use of learning methods or techniques which are less varied is one of causes of the problems. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the technique Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition in Chukyuu Dokkai learning. The method used in this study was the experimental method. The study design was randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were the third semester students majoring in Japanese language education in Indonesia University of Education, the samples were the class A set as the experiment class and the class B set as the control class. The instrument used were a test and questionnaire. From the data analysis, it can be seen that there were significant differences of reading comprehension of Japanese text between the experimental classes and the control classes. In other words, the Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition technique was effective in reading comprehension of Japanese text in learning Chukyuu Dokkai.
