Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan siswa di kelas III SD. Permasalahan tersebut adalah rendahnya sikap kemandirian belajar siswa disebabkan karena siswa belum menyadari kewajiban yang harus dipenuhinya, seperti kurangnya tanggung jawab siswa dalam mengerjakan tugas-tugasnya. Selain itu, rendahnya percaya diri, disiplin, motivasi dan inisiatif siswa, semakin memperkuat bahwa siswa memiliki kemandirian belajar yang rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan dan peningkatan sikap kemandirian belajar siswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual (SAVI). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui analisis observasi sikap kemandirian belajar siswa pada saat proses pembelajaran dengan indikator dari sikap kemandirian belajar yang dikembangkan dari 5 aspek, yaitu disiplin, percaya diri, motivasi, inisiatif dan tanggung jawab. Ketuntasan sikap kemandirian belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 72% dan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 21% pada siklus II menjadi 93%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual (SAVI) dapat meningkatkan sikap kemandirian belajar siswa di sekolah dasar.-- This research is motivated by students’ problem in third-grade elementary school. The problem of the students is the low attitudes of learning independence because they have not realized the obligations that must be fulfilled, such as the lack of responsibility in doing their tasks. Moreover, the low of self-confidence, discipline, motivation and initiative from students, more reinforces that students have low learning independence. This research aims to describe the application and improvement of students learning independence by using Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual (SAVI). By using Action Class Research methodology with Kemmis and Mc.Taggart models this research implemented in two cycles which consist of planning, execution, observation, and reflection. The data was collected through an observation analysis of students' learning independence attitude during the learning process with indicators of self-learning attitudes which developed from 5 aspects: discipline, confidence, motivation, initiative, and responsibility. Completeness of student manner in learning independence in the first cycle at 72% and increased by 21% in cycle II to 93%. It can be concluded with the application of Somatic, Auditory, Visual and Intellectual (SAVI) can improve students’ learning independence in elementary school.
