    Abstract

    Pendekatan Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) adalah pendekatan pembelajaran yang melatihkan keterampilan-keterampilan dasar yang dibutuhkan dalam kegiatan ilmiah untuk menemukan atau mengembangkan suatu pengetahuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perkembangan KPS dan peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa setelah diterapkan pendekatan KPS didalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain one group pretest posttest. Instrumen tes yang digunakan adalah lembar kerja siswa (LKS), tes penguasaan konsep berbentuk soal uraian, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pendekatan KPS. Subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah 32 siswa di salah satu SMA Negeri di kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan pendekatan KPS dapat mengembangkan keterampilan proses sains dan meningkatan penguasaan konsep dalam kategori sedang.----
    Science process skills approach is an approach on learning that exercise the basic skills needed to find or develop knowledge. This research aim is to identify the development of student’s science process skills and improve student’s concept mastery using science process skills approach in learning activities. One group pretest posttest are using in this research. The instruments that used in this research are student worksheet, concept mastery test, and the observation sheet to look at implementation of science process skill approach. Those instrument are given to 32 students in one of senior high school in Bandung. The result showed that the implementation of science process skills approach can develop the science process skills of student and improve student’s concepts mastery in medium category.
