Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji apakah pendekatan saintifik berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan literasi dan disposisi matematika siswa Sekolah Dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kemampuan literasi matematis (KLM) siswa yang masih rendah dan diterapkannya kurikulum 2013 di sekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretes dan postes. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu SD Negeri di Kabupaten Cirebon. Populasi dalam penelitian langsung dijadikan sampel, karena peneliti memilih sampel dari kelompok yang telah terbentuk secara alamiah yang tidak mungkin dilakukan penyampelan secara acak. Sampel untuk kelas eksperimen yaitu kelas IV-A sebanyak 34 siswa dan kelas kontrol yaitu kelas IV-B sebanyak 35 siswa. Pengumpulan data KLM menggunakan tes essay, sedangkan disposisi matematis menggunakan skala disposisi dengan bentuk skala likert. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (a) terdapat perbedaan KLM antara siswa kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol; (b) terdapat perbedaan KLM antara sebelum dan sesudah melakukan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik; (c) peningkatan KLM siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa kelas kontrol; (d) tidak terdapat perbedaan disposisi matematis antara siswa kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas kontrol; (e) terdapat perbedaan disposisi matematis antara sebelum dan sesudah melakukan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik; (f) peningkatan disposisi matematis pada siswa kelas ekperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa kelas kontrol. Hasil-hasil penelitian di atas menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan saintifik berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan literasi dan disposisi matematis siswa Sekolah Dasar. ----- The purpose of this study is to examine whether a scientific approach can effect the mathematical literacy (ML) and mathematical disposition (MD) of elementary school students. The background of this study is motivated by the (ML) students who are still low in the ML, MD and applaying the curriculum 2013 in school. The method used in this research is quasi experiment with pretest and postes design. This research was conducted in one of the Elementary School in Kabupaten Cirebon. The population in the study was directly sampled, because the researchers chose samples from naturally formed groups that could not be done random sampling. Samples for experimental class that is class IV-A as many as 34 students and control class that is class IV-B as many as 35 student. ML data collected using essay test. While the MD data using disposition scale with likert scale form. The results of this study indicate that: (a) there is a difference in ML between students of the experiment class and the control class; (b) there is difference an ML between before and after learning by scientific approach; (c) the increasing ML in eksperiment class is higher than control class; (d) there is no difference in the MD of students in the experiment class and control class; (e) there is a difference of MD between before and after learning by scientific approach; (g) the increasing of MD in the experiment class is higher than the control class. The results of the research above show that the scientific approach affects the ML and MD of elementary school students.
