Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pengembangan diri anak melalui kegiatan vokal grup yang mana pada bidang ini banyak diminati oleh siswa remaja di Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan penerapan teknik balancing dan blending pada materi lagu dalam format vokal grup. Adapun permasalahan yang ada dalam penelitian ini adalah tentang proses penerapan teknik balancing dan blending pada lagu Lalajo Wayang aransemen Eri RAF dan Gege Gumilar serta penanggulangan kendala dari teknik tersebut yang dikaji oleh tahapan-tahapan latihan dan metode yang diterapkan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa proses penerapan teknik balancing dan blending pada lagu Lalajo Wayang aransemen Eri RAF dan Gege Gumilar meliputi, tahapan pertama adalah pengenalan lagu Lalajo Wayang versi asli dan penganalan lagu yang telah diaransemen dan tahapan kedua adalah proses penerapan teknik tersebut. Dalam hasil penelitian, pelatih menggunakan tiga metode pengajaran yaitu metode demonstrasi, imitasi, dan drill.
This research is based on students' vocal group self-improvement, which has gained attention from teenage students of middle high school. The purpose of this research is to describe things that are related to balancing and blending technique in song material with vocal group format. The problem of this research is balancing and blending technique's application in the song Lalajo Wayang, arranged by Eri RAF and Gege Gumilar; and also the problem solving of those techniques which are studied with practice steps and applied methods. The research method used is descriptive method with qualitative approach. The result of this research explains that balancing and blending technique's application procedures in Eri RAF and Gege Gumilar's Lalajo Wayang are: First step is to introduce the original version of Lalajo Wayang song and also the arranged version; the second step is the application of those techniques. In research's result, trainer uses three teaching methods; demonstration, imitation, and drill.
