Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya teknik dalam pembelajaran menulis khususnya menulis cerita pendek. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji keefektifan teknik pancingan kata kunci dengan bantuan media karikatur dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek, serta mengkaji ada atau tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis teks cerita pendek siswa yang menggunakan teknik pancingan kata kunci dengan bantuan media karikatur dengan kemampuan menulis teks cerita pendek siswa yang menggunakan teknik dan media yang biasa digunakan guru di sekolah tempat penelitian. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis metode eksperimen kuasi/semu. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas XI SMAN 20 Bandung dengan subjek penelitian kelas XI IPS-2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA-4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa diperoleh nilai rata-rata prates kelas eksperimen adalah 60.22 dan pascates 70.06, sedangkan kelas kontrol nilai rata-rata prates adalah 61.28 dan pascates 67.94. Selain itu, berdasarkan uji hipotesis yang dilakukan diperoleh ttabel ≤ thitung ≥ ttabel, yaitu 2.0452 ≤ 2.150 ≥ 2.0452. Hasil pengujian hipotesis ini mengacu pada H1 dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan siswa dalam menulis cerpen sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan teknik pancingan kata kunci dengan bantuan media karikatur, lalu dibuktikannya bahwa H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Hal ini menunjukkan keefektifan penerapan teknik pancingan kata kunci dengan bantuan media karikatur dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerita pendek siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 20 Bandung. ---------- This research is motivated by the lack of technique in teaching writing, especially writing short stories. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of the technique exploits the keywords with the help of the media caricature in learning to write short stories, and assess whether there is any significant difference between the ability to write text short story of students who use the technique exploits the keywords with the help of the media caricature with the ability to write text short stories of students using techniques and media used teacher at the school where the research. The research uses quantitative methods to the type of quasi-experimental method / false. The study was conducted in class XI SMAN 20 Bandung with research subjects XI IPS-2 as the experimental class and XI-4 as the control class. The results based on calculations show that the average values obtained experimental class pretest and post-test 70.06 is 60.22, while the control class average value pretest and post-test is 61.28 67.94. In addition, based on the hypothesis test is to be obtained ttabel ≤ t ≥ t table, which is 2.0452≤ 2.150 ≥ 2.0452. The results of testing this hypothesis refers to the H1 and it can be concluded that there are significant differences between students' ability to write short stories before and after the learning using the keyword inducement technique with the help of the media caricature, and then prove that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the application of inducement technique with the help of keywords caricature media in learning to write text short story class XI student of SMAN 20 Bandung.
