Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan metode pembelajaran PQ4R yang memberikan pengaruh terhadap penguasaan konsep pada submateri sistem hormon. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental (quasy experiment) dan sampel diambil dengan cara purposive sampling dimana peneliti memilih responden berdasarkan dari tujuan penelitian secara selektif yang terdiri atas dua kelas dengan jumlah siswa 34 orang untuk kelas eksperimen dan 31 orang untuk kelas kontrol. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui tes pilihan ganda, yang kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji statistik yaitu uji prasyarat dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai pre test kelas kontrol 40,93 dan kelas eksperimen 54,23. Hipotesis pre test yang dilakukan menggunakan uji U Mann Whitney menghasilkan 0,00 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 yang menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman awal konsep siswa antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen berbeda secara signifikan. Rata-rata nilai post test kelas kontrol 54,23 dan kelas eksperimen 74,82. Uji hipotesis menggunakan nilai gain, hal ini dikarenakan nilai pre test yang berbeda signifikan. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji T menghasilkan 0,00 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep antara siswa kelas kontrol maupun kelas eksperimen berbeda signifikan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu peningkatan penguasaan konsep pada kelas eksperimen lebih besar dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol karena menggunakan metode PQ4R ditunjang dengan media komik sistem hormon yang dapat menarik perhatian siswa untuk memahami konsep.;---The study aims to knowing study the application of PQ4R learning methods give an effect to the capabling of concept on hormone system submaterial. This study was an experimental study (quasy experiment) and samples taken by purpose sampling where the researcher choose the participants based on selective purpose of the experiment which is consists of two classes with 34 participants for experimental class and 31 participants for control class. The research data was collected through a multiple-choice test, which is analyzed by using a statistical tests are precondition test and hypotesis test. The results showed that the average value of pre test ofcontrol class is 40.93 and experimental class is 54.23. The hypothesis of pre test was performed by using Mann Whitney U test and the result is 0.00 with a significance level of 0.05 indicates that the understanding of the concept among students between control class and experimental class is significantly different. The average value of post test control class is 54.23 and experimental class is 74.82. The hypothesis test used the gain values, this is because the value of pre-test was significantly different. The hypothesis test used a test T that resulted in 0.00 with a significance level of 0.05 indicates that the understanding of the concept among students in control class and experimental class was significantly different. The result for this research that the increasing of concept capabling of the experimental class is greater than the control class because it is used PQ4R methods which is supported by the comic media of hormone system that can attract the attention of students to understand the concept.
