Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa dan keterampilan memecahkan masalah secara kreatif setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran project based-learning yang digabungkan dengan creative problem solving. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental dengan desain One Group Pretest-Postest. Subyek dari penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa X Analis Kimia di salah satu SMK Negeri di Kota Bandung. Peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan memecahkan masalah secara kreatif diperoleh dari hasil pengolahan nilai gain ternormalisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan memecahkan masalah secara kreatif mengalami peningkatan. Nilai gain ternormalisasi dari pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan memecahkan masalah secara kreatif masing-masing adalah 0.58 dan 0.656 yang berarti bahwa keduanya mengalami peningkatan yang berada pada kategori sedang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggabungan creative problem solving dan project based-learning dapat meningkatakan pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan memecahkan masalah secara kreatif siswa SMK. ---------- This research aims to improve the students’ conceptual understanding and creative problem solving skills after infusing creative problem solving into project based-learning. The research method used was Pre-Experimental with one group pretest-postest design. The subject of the research was 32 tenth grade chemical analytic in one of vocational high school in Bandung City. The increasing of conceptual understanding and creative problem solving skill obtained from normalization gain. The result shows that the values of the normalized gain is 0.58 for conceptual understanding and 0.656 for creative problem solving skill. Both of them have a medium category for each their increasing. Based on the result, it can be conluded that infusing crative problem solving into project based learning could improve students’ conceptual understanding and creative problem solving skill.
