Abstract

This article aims to give information about the poems that contain the figure of speech based on sentence structure, and knowing what kind of meaning contained in the figure of speech in poems “Le Beau Voyage” by Henry Bataille. This poem tells about Henry Bataille journeys, and he tried to describe in detail what happened during the journey. The methods used in this research are descriptive analysis method by description all the facts and then do analysis. The result is that there several poems contained figure of speech based on sentence structure, there five kinds figure of speech are climax, anticlimax, antithesis, pararellism, and repetition. Then for analysis of the meaning contained in the figure of speech in poems “Le Beau Voyage” there seven kinds of meaning are lexical, grammatical, contextual, referential, non-referential, denotative, and connotative. By this research, the students are expected to gain some knowledge about figure of speech and meaning contained in poems. This research means to be a teaching reference for French teacher or instructor which also can be applied.
Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi tentang puisi yang mengandung gaya bahasa berdasarkan struktur kalimat, dan mengetahui makna yang terkandung dalam gaya bahasa pada puisi "Le Beau Voyage" karya Henry Bataille. Puisi ini menceritakan tentang perjalanan Henry Bataille, dan ia mencoba untuk menjelaskan secara rinci apa yang terjadi selama perjalanan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analisis dengan mendeskripsikan fakta-fakta yang kemudian disusul dengan analis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat beberapa puisi yang mengandung gaya bahasa berdasarkan struktur kalimat, ada lima jenis gaya bahasa yaitu klimaks, antiklimaks, antitesis, pararelisme, dan repetisi. Kemudian untuk analisis makna yang terkandung dalam gaya bahasa pada puisi "Le Beau Voyage" ada tujuh macam makna yaitu makna leksikal, gramatikal, kontekstual, referensial, non-refernetial, denotatif, dan konotatif. Dengan penelitian ini, mahasiswa diharapkan dapat mendapatkan beberapa pengetahuan tentang gaya bahasa dan makna yang terkandung dalam puisi. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menjadi referensi pengajaran untuk guru bahasa Prancis atau instruktur yang dapat diterapkan pada mata kuliah.
