Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah membawa perubahan baru dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk di bidang pendidikan. Pendidikan menjadi upaya yang disengaja dan terencana untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar dan proses pembelajaran yang memungkinkan siswa secara aktif mengembangkan potensi diri mereka, termasuk kepribadian, kecerdasan, akhlak mulia, serta keterampilan yang berguna bagi diri sendiri, masyarakat, dan negara. Guru sebagai pendidik memiliki peran sangat dominan dalam proses pembelajaran, yaitu mengatur atau mengelola ruang kelas yang melibatkan siswa dan sumber belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan model Self-Directed Learning berbantuan LMS Moodle untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada mata pelajaran jaringan komputer. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental, khususnya desain One-Group Pretest-Postest. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan di SMK Kartika XIX-1 Bandung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan respon positif terhadap penggunaan LMS Moodle, dengan persentase rata-rata 74.5% dari ahli media dengan kategori layak digunakan. Dampak dari penggunaan LMS Moodle ini menunjukkan rata-rata skor pre-test 40.57 dan rata-rata skor post-test 61.90, dengan peningkatan skor rata-rata sebesar 21.33. Nilai rata-rata N-Gain dari hasil pre-test dan post-test sebesar 0.34 yang termasuk kategori "Sedang". Sementara itu, respon siswa terhadap media menunjukkan presentase sebesar 95% yang dapat dikategorikan "Sangat Baik". The development of information and communication technology has brought new changes in various aspects of life, including in the field of education. Education is a deliberate and planned effort to create a learning environment and process that enables students to actively develop their potential, including personality, intelligence, good morality, skills useful for themselves, society, and the nation. Teachers, as educators, play a very dominant role in the learning process by managing or organizing the classroom, involving students and learning resources. This study aims to implement the Self-Directed Learning model supported by the Moodle LMS to enhance students’ understanding of computer network subjects. The research methodology used is a pre-Experimental, specifically the One-Group Pre-test–Post-test Design. The sample for this experiment consists of 11th-grade Computer and Network Engineering students at SMK Kartika XIX-1 Bandung. The results of this study show a positive response to the use of Moodle LMS, with an average percentage of 74.5% from media experts, categorized as suitable for use. The impact of using the Moodle LMS shows an average pre-test score of 40.57 and an average post-test score of 61.90, with an average score increase of 21.33. The average N-Gain value from the pre-test and post-test results is 0.34, categorized as "Moderate". Meanwhile, students’ responses to the media show a percentage of 95%, categorized as "Very Good".
