Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman peserta didik Fase C terhadap materi fotosintesis. Faktanya materi tersebut telah dipelajari sebelumnya di Fase B. Jika tidak segera diatasi, dikhawatirkan peserta didik tidak akan mampu mencapai capaian pembelajaran yang telah ditentukan dan berpengaruh terhadap sikap peserta didik dalam berinteraksi dengan lingkungannya. Sementara itu, kurikulum merdeka yang baru diterapkan di Indonesia menawarkan pembelajaran yang bermakna dan melibatkan pengalaman personal. Salah satunya pada Mata Pelajaran IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial) yang di dalamnya termuat pula materi tentang fotosintesis. Pembelajaran IPAS diharapkan dapat membantu peserta didik dalam memahami materi yang dipelajarinya, khususnya materi IPA dan IPS. Mengggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini akan menganalisis bagaimana implementasi pembelajaran IPAS untuk memahami materi fotosintesis di Fase B sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hasil analisis terhadap implementasi pembelajaran IPAS yang dilakukan guru, mulai dari perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran, hingga pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi fotosintesis setelah pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa model PBL (Problem Based Learning) dan pendekatan saintifik yang digunakan guru berhasil membantu peserta didik dalam memahami materi fotosintesis di Fase B Sekolah Dasar sehingga peserta didik mampu mencapai capaian pembelajaran yang telah ditentukan. This research was motivated by the low understanding of Phase C students regarding photosynthesis material. In fact, this material has been studied previously in Phase B. If it is not addressed immediately, it is feared that students will not be able to achieve the predetermined learning outcomes and this will affect students' attitudes in interacting with their environment. Meanwhile, the newly implemented independent curriculum in Indonesia offers meaningful learning and involves personal experiences. One of them is the Science and Social Sciences (Natural and Social Sciences) subject which also includes material about photosynthesis. Science and social learning is expected to help students understand the material they are studying, especially science and social studies material. Using a qualitative approach and qualitative descriptive methods, this research will analyze how science and social learning is implemented to understand photosynthesis material in Phase B of elementary schools. The aim of this research is to describe the results of the analysis of the implementation of science and social learning carried out by teachers starting from planning and implementing learning, to students' understanding of photosynthesis material after implementing the learning. From the results of the research conducted, it was found that the PBL (Problem Based Learning) model and scientific approach used by the teacher were successful in helping students understand photosynthesis material in Phase B of Elementary School so that students were able to achieve predetermined learning outcomes.
