Abstract

Education Sustainable Development telah lama diperbincangkan dan tahun 2005-2014 dideklarasikan sebagai dekade ESD dengan harapan pendidikan dapat memberikan kesadaran dan mendorong perubahan yang berkualitas dalam mewujudkan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Berkaitan harapan tersebut, peneliti ingin melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan melihat pengaruh integrasi ESD dalam pembelajaram berbasis masalah terhadap penguasaan konsep dan sustainability awareness siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre-experimental desain. Sustianability awareness diukur dengan angket skala likert di akhir pembelajaran serta dengan melihat kecenderungan jawaban siswa pada LKS di setiap pertemuan. Selain itu, pengaruh dari pembelajaran terhadap Penguasaan konsep dikur dengan tes pilihan ganda yang diberikan di pretest dan posttest. Dari sampel sebanyak 32 siswa di salah satu MTs Negeri di Kabupaten Garut diperoleh hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa integrasi ESD dalam pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa dengan skor N-Gain yang termasuk kategori “sedang”. Sedangkan Sustainability Awareness kategori emotional dan behavioral and attitude termasuk pada kriteria “sering dilakukan” namun kategori practice awareness termasuk kriteria “jarang dilakukan”. -----Education Sustainable Development has been discussed for a long time, and 2005-2-14 was declared as Decade ESD with hope that education can provide awareness and encourage quality change in realizing sustainable development. Based on these, researchers want to conduct research with the aim of seeing the effect of ESD integration in problem-based learning towards mastering concepts and awareness of students' sustainability. This research is pre-experimental design research. Sustianability awareness measured by questionnaire with likert scale and researcher see the student’s answer on LKS at each meeting. In addition, the effect of learnig on mastery of concept measured by multiple choice test. From 32 of student as sample in one of MTs Negeri at Kabupaten Garut obtained results that integrasted ESD in problem-based learning can improve student’s mastery concept with N-Gain Score include in the “moderate” category. Whereas the Sustainability Awareness of emotional category and behavioral and attitude category include in the “often done” criteria but sustainability practice awareness includes “seldom done” criteria
