Abstract

Keterampilan memecahkan masalah sangat diperlukan untuk membangun pengetahuan dan juga menemukan solusi mengenai permasalahan yang terjadi di lingkungan sekitar. Adanya pembelajaran dengan mengaitkan potensi lokal melalui bahan ajar pada materi keanekaragaman hayati dengan berbasis pemecahan masalah, siswa dapat memahami permasalahan yang ada di sekitar sehingga dapat memberikan solusi untuk melestarikan keanekaragaman hayati yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan muatan lokal mengenai keanekaragaman hayati sebagai bahan ajar biologi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan memecahkan masalah siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi eksperiment dengan menggunakan desain nonequivalent pretest-posttest. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal keterampilan memecahkan masalah dan angket respon siswa. Penelitian di lakukan disalah satu SMA Negeri yang paling dekat lokasinya dengan taman nasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan pemecahan masalah setelah menggunakan bahan ajar bermuatan lokal mengalami peningkatan N-gain sebanyak 59% dan persentase hasil respon siswa sebanyak 85% dengan kategori respon positif. Hasil analisis penerapan bahan ajar menunjukkan peningkatan pada kategori sedang sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar bermuatan lokal memiliki pengaruh terhadap keterampilan memecahkan masalah siswa. ;---Problem-solving skill is very needed to build knowledge and also to find solutions of the problems occurred in the surrounding environment. Through local content teaching material on biodiversity subject in Tesso Nilo National Park with problem-based learning, students are able to understand the issues in the surrounding environment, so as they can provide solutions to conserve the existing biodiversity. The aim of this study is determining the application of instructional materials that have been developed relating to biodiversity issues that occur in the Tesso Nilo National Park to improve students' problem solving skills. This is a quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent pretest-posttest design. Instruments used in research are questions about problem solving skills and students response questionnaires. This research was conducted at Senior High School 1 which is located near the national park. The findings of this research show that there is an improve of problem solving skills after used loal content teaching material that improve as much as 59% and persentag of students response as much as 85% with positive response. Analysis of implementation indicated improvement in the medium category and it can be concluded that the local content teaching material can improve the students problem solving skills
