Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan masalah umum yang sering ditemukan pada saat pembelajaran membaca pemahaman, yaitu peserta didik yang kesulitan memahami isi teks bacaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 7 Bandung, mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran membaca pemahaman dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif MURDER berbantuan media motion graphics, dan mendeskripsikan perbedaan signifikan antara kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 7 Bandung di kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif MURDER berbantuan media motion graphics dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode terlangsung. Penelitian menggunakan desain penelitian Quasi Experimental Design dengan model penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik X MIPA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIPA 6 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data diperoleh dari hasil wawancara, observasi, dan tes objektif berupa pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 soal, yang kemudian dianalisis dengan uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji daya pembeda soal, uji tingkat kesulitan soal, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis (uji t). Hasil pengolahan data melalui perhitungan statistik dengan menggunakan uji t menunjukkan bahwa thitung > ttabel dengan hasil uji t sebesar 4,865. Hal ini berarti, H0 ditolak, sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol pada peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 7 Bandung. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran kooperatif MURDER berbantuan media motion graphics dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran membaca pemahaman. ..... This study was conducted based on common problems that are often found in reading comprehension, those are learners who have difficulties in understanding contents of reading text. The difficulty is resulted from lack of students’ reading interest, lack of applying teaching reading model, and lack of media in reading learning. The difficulty is caused by the lack of learners’ interest to reading learning, lack the use of reading learning model, and the lack of media use in reading learning. This study aims to portray significant difference between reading comprehension skill of tenth graders in SMA Negeri 7 Bandung in experimental class using MURDER cooperative learning model assisted by motion graphics media and control class using directed method. This study employed Quasi Experimental research design Nonequivalent Control Group research model. The sample of the study was students X MIPA 5 as the experimental class and X MIPA 6 as control class. The data was obtained from inteview results, observation, and objective test of multiple choice as many as 20 questions, which then analyzed with validity test, reliability test, differentiatior power test, difficulty level test, normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test (t-test). The result of data processing through statistical calculation by using t-test indicates that tat > ttable with result of t value equal to 4,865. That is to say, H0 is rejected, so there is significant difference between experimental class and control class of tenth grades in SMA Negeri 7 Bandung. Thus, MURDER cooperative learning model assisted motion graphics media can be used in reading comprehension learning.
