Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa SD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman matematis menggunakan media pohon berhitung dan corong berhitung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode praeksperimen tipe posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh SD di KecamatanCoblong, Kota Bandung dansampel yang diambil yaitu seluruh siswa kelasI A dan kelas I D di salah satu SD di Kecamatan Coblong, Kota Bandung. Pengambilan sampel ini dilakukan berdasarkan purposive sampling, hanya atas dasar pertimbangan peneliti yang menganggap unsur-unsur yang dikehendaki telah ada dalam anggota sampel. Teknik pengolahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes ranking bertanda (Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test) karena dalam penelitian ini data tidak berdistribusi normal dan tidak homogen. Secara Khusus hasil posttest menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis pada pengurangan, berdasarkan penggunaan media pohon berhitung dan corong berhitung, sedangkan pada penjumlahan tidak terdapat perbedaan pemahaman matematis berdasarkan penggunaan pohon berhitung dan corong berhitung. Secara umum hasil posttest menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman matematis pada materi operasi hitung bilangan berdasarkan pohon berhitung dan corong berhitung. Berdasarkan analisis posttest pada materi pengurangan hasil kelompok yang menggunakan pohon berhitung lebih tinggi dari hasil kelompok yang menggunakan corong berhitung.;--- This research is based on low ability of students to understanding mathematic in elementary school. This research to see the differences in mathematical understanding using the media of arithmetic and using numerical funnel media. The research using the method of pre experimental group design of posttest control types. The target population in this research is all elementary school in KecamatanCoblong, Bandung and the samples taken are all students from class I A and class I D in one elementary school in KecamatanCoblong, Bandung. Sampling is done based on purposive sampling, only on the basis of consideration of the researcher who considers the desired elements already exist in the sample members taken. Data processing technique in this study using marked test ranking (Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test)because in this study data is not normally distributed and not homogeneous. Specifically the posttest results indicate that there is a difference in the improvement of students' mathematical comprehension abilities on the reduction, based on the use of arithmetic and numerical funnels, whereas in addition there is no difference in mathematical understanding based on the use of arithmetic and numerical funnels. In general the posttest result shows that there is difference of students' mathematical understanding ability on the matter of count operation based on counting tree and counting funnel.Based on the posttest analysis on the yield reduction material of the group using the calculating tree is higher than the results of the group using the counting funnel.
