Abstract

Kemampuan representasi matematis (KRM) dan disposisi matematis (DM) siswa yang masih rendah menjadi latar belakang dari penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan KRM dan DM melalui pembelajaran dengan Strategi Metakognitif Berkelompok (PSMB) serta melihat aspek representasi yang muncul pada jawaban siswa baik ditinjau secara keseluruhan ataupun berdasarkan kemampuan awal matematis (KAM) siswa pada materi turunan. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIA pada salah satu SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode campuran paralel konvergen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif sebagai pendekatan primer. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pencapaian, peningkatan KRM dan DM siswa melaui PSMB lebih baik dibandingkan KRM siswa melalui pembelajaran konvensional (PK). Apabila ditinjau berdasarkan KAM, pencapaian KRM dan DM siswa PSMB lebih baik daripada siswa PK pada kategori KAM tinggi. Sedangkan, peningkatan KRM siswa PSMB tetap lebih baik dari siswa PK pada semua kategori KAM. Aspek representasi yang muncul pada jawaban siswa didominasi oleh aspek representasi visual, sedangkan aspek representasi verbal muncul dengan proporsi sangat rendah dibanding aspek representasi yang lainnya baik ditinjau secara keseluruhan ataupun ditinjau berdasarkan KAM.;--The low mathematical representation ability (MRA) and mathematical disposition (MD) students was the background of this study. This study aimed to develop student’s MRA and MD through learning with Group Metacognitive Strategy (GMSL) and to see the appearance of representation aspect that appears in student’s answers either reviewed overall or based on the student’s prior mathematical ability (PMA) on derivative topic. Subjects in this study were students of class XI MIA at one of the Senior High School in Bandung City. The method used in this research was parallel convergent mixed method with quantitative as primary approach. The result of the analysis revealed that the attainment, improvement of MRA and MD students through GMSL is better than MRA students through conventional learning (CL). When reviewed based on PMA, the MRA and MD attainment of GMSL students is better than CL students in the high PMA category. Meanwhile, the MRA improvement of GMSL students still better than CL students in all categories of PMA. The aspect of representation that appears in student’s answers is dominated by visual representation aspects, whereas the verbal representation aspect appeared with a very low proportion compared to other representational aspects either reviewed overall or reviewed based on PMA.
