Abstract
Hasil pengamatan awal terdapat permasalahan yang dialami oleh siswa kelas XI MIPA 6 yaitu ditemukan bahwa dalam proses pembelajaran PPKn sebagian besar siswa terlihat pasif, beberapa siswa cenderung bersifat acuh dan tampak berbicara dengan siswa lain bahkan tidak sedikit pula siswa yang bermain gadget. Ketidakvariatifan pembelajaran terlihat dalam pembelajaran PPKn yang dilakukan di kelas masih dominan terpusat pada guru (teacher centered). Untuk meningkatkan kualitas dalam mengajar hendaknya guru menggunakan media pembelajaran, salah satu alternatif media pembelajaran yang dapat di implementasikan untuk membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar adalah dengan menerapkan media berbasis visual yaitu dengan menerapkan media graphic recording melalui penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis secara mendalam terhadap implementasi media graphic recording pada siswa kelas XI MIPA 6 sebagai upaya meningkatkan motivasi siswa terhadap pembelajaran PPKn. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah PTK dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 15 Bandung. Informan penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas XI MIPA 6 dan guru PPKn SMAN 15 Bandung. Hasil pengumpulan data yang diperoleh melalui teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi kemudian dianalisis menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data (Milles dan Haberman, 2007). Data yang berhasil diperoleh kemudian divalidasi menggunakan teknik triangulasi informan dan triangulasi teknik pengumpulan data. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media graphic recording mampu berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan motivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran PPKn. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari tercapainya semua aspek-aspek terkait indikator motivasi belajar dalam pembelajaran PPKn yang telah mengalami peningkatan di setiap pelaksanaan tindakan siklusnya dan melampaui indikator keberhasilan. ..... There are problems in the result of the initial observation experienced by the students of class XI MIPA 6 that in the learning process of PPKn most students responded passively, some students tended to be indifferent and seemed to talk with other students, more over many students played gadgets. The non-variability of learning seen in the PPKn learning that was done in the classroom was still dominantly centered on the teacher. To improve the quality in teaching teachers should use instructional media, one of the alternative learning media that could be implemented to help students in improving motivation to learn was to apply visual-based media that was by applying graphic recording media through classroom action research. This study aimed to conduct an in-depth analysis of the implementation of graphic recording media in students of class XI MIPA 6 as an effort to improve student motivation on learning PPKn. The method used in this research was PTK with qualitative and quantitative approach. The research was conducted at SMAN 15 Bandung. The research source consisted of students of class XI MIPA 6 and teacher of PPKn SMAN 15 Bandung. The results of data collection obtained through interview, observation, and documentation techniques were then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and data verification (Milles and Haberman, 2007). The data obtained were then validated using source triangulation techniques and triangulation of data collection techniques. Research results showed that graphic recording media could contribute to improving students' motivation in learning PPKn. This could be seen from the achievement of all aspects related to learning motivation indicators in PPKn learning that have improved in every implementation of the cycle action and beyond the success indicator.
