Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan peta konsep sebagai consolidation phase berbasis STAD dalam pembelajaran IPA terhadap kreativitas dan pemahaman konsep siswa dalam materi pencemaran lingkungan. Penenlitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperiment dengan desain penelitian Randomized control group pretest-posttest design. Subjeck penelitian adalah salah satu SMPN di Kabupaten Tangerang. Analisis data menggunakan n-gain untuk melihat peningkatan kreativitas dan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan, analisis peningkatan kreativitas setiap indikator kreativitas, dan uji korelasi untuk melihat hubungan kreativitas dengan pemahaman konsep siswa. Rata-rata n-gain hasil peningkatan kreativitas di kelas eksperimen yaitu 0.43 (sedang). Sedangkan rata-rata n-gain pemahaman konsep di kelas eksperimen adalah 0.53 (sedang). Korelasi antara kreativitas dan pemahaman konsep siswa di kelas eksperimen adalah 0,3 dengan koefisien determinasi yaitu 9%. Yang diartikan bahwa 9% pemahaman konsep dipengaruhi oleh kreativitas. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning sicence using concept maps as a consolidation phase based on STAD towards students’ creativity and concept comprehension about environmental pollution. This research use Quasi Experiment and randomized control group pretest-posttest design. Subject of this research is one of the junior schools in Tangerang district. Analysis data was using n-gain to see an increase in students’ creativity and concept comprehension about environmental pollution, the analysis of the creativity development of each indicator creativity, and correlation test to see the inluence of creativity towards students' concept comprehension. The average n-gain is the result of increased creativity. In the experimental class the score was 0:43 (medium). While the average n-gain of concept comprehension in class experiment was 0.53 (medium). The correlation between creativity and concept comprehension of students in the experimental class was 0.3 with a coefficient of determination of 9%. Which means that 9% of comprehension was influenced by the understanding of the creativity. Keywords: concept map, consolidation phase, STAD, creativity, understanding of the concept.
