Abstract

Proses pembelajaran merupakan bagian kurikulum dalam Mata Kuliah Perancangan Basis Data pada Program Studi Sistem Informasi Universitas Widyatama. Selama ini hasil dari proses pembelajaran mahasiswa belum dapat memberikan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan sesuai yang diharapkan. Salah satu hal yang dilakukan Prodi Sistem Informasi agar dapat terjadi peningkatan tersebut, maka diterapkan program blended learning pada Mata Kuliah Perancangan Basis Data. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan evaluasi kualitatif dalam mengevaluasi berbagai tahapan proses yang dilakukan untuk menerapkan program blended learning. Sedangkan metode evaluasi yang digunakan terdiri atas 2 bagian model, yaitu 1) CIPP, merupakan evaluasi yang dilakukan terhadap context, input, process, dan product, 2) The Flashlight Triad, merupakan evaluasi mengenai aktifitas yang memanfaatkan teknologi informasi secara online. Objek penelitian dibagi menjadi kegiatan pada saat workshop bagi seluruh mahasiswa baru Tahun Akademik 2014/2015 dan 40 mahasiswa pada semester V T.A. 2014/2015 yang mengambil Mata Kuliah Perancangan Basis Data (PBD). Sebagai hasil akhir evaluasi pelaksanaaan blended learning berdasarkan pengamatan yang telah dilakukan peneliti, bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mahasiswa setelah melakukan berbagai aktivitas yang telah dikondisikan dalam kegiatan tatap muka secara online dan tatap muka secara konvensional. Berkaitan dengan hasil tersebut, maka disarankan bagi Prodi Sistem Informasi Universitas Widyatama agar tetap dapat menggunakan program blended learning pada Mata Kuliah PBD. Hal ini dikarenakan tujuan peningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dapat tercapai secara lebih baik dibandingkan hanya sekedar menggunakan tatap muka konvensional. ; The learning process is part of the curriculum in Database Design Course at the Widyatama University of Studies Program Information System. During this time the result of the learning process of students have not been able to provide increased knowledge and skills as expected. One of the things that made Studies Program of Information System to be increased, then apply blended learning program on course design database. This study uses a qualitative evaluation approach in evaluating the various stages of the process undertaken to implement a blended learning program. While the method of evaluation used consists of two parts models, namely 1) CIPP, an evaluation made of the context, input, process and product, 2) The Flashlight Triad, an evaluation of the use of information technology activities online. The object of research is divided into activities during the workshop for all new students Academic Year 2014/2015 and 40 students in semester V academic year 2014/2015 which took course design database. As a result of the execution of the final evaluation of blended learning based on the observation that has been conducted by researchers , that an increase in knowledge and skills of students after doing various activities that have been conditioned in advance online activity and face-to -face conventional manne. In connection with these results, it is suggested to Widyatama University of Studies Program Information System to keep using blended learning program on curse design database. This is because the purpose of enhancing the knowledge and skills can be achieved better than just using conventional face-to-face.
