Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman relasional dan kemampuan penalaran induktif siswa SMK melalui pembelajaran dengan model kooperatif tipe Three Step Interview. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen, dengan desain nonequivalent control group design, yang melibatkan dua kelas yang dipilih secara acak dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Populasi pada penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMKF Bumi Siliwangi dengan sampel kelas eksperimen yang terpilih adalah siswa kelas XI-A dan kelas kontrol yang terpilih adalah siswa kelas XI-B. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui intrumen tes dan non-tes. Intrumen tes sesuai dengan indikator dari kemampuan pemahaman relasional dan kemampuan penalaran induktif dan memiliki reliabilitas dengan kategori sangat tinggi, sedangkan instrumen non-tes terdiri dari lembar observasi dan jurnal harian. Data yang digunakan untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman relasional dan kemampuan penalaran induktif adalah gain ternormalisasi (n-gain) dan pengolahan data menggunakan software SPSS versi 20. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman relasional siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Three Step Interview lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional; (2) Peningkatan kemampuan penalaran induktif siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Three Step Interview lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. ; The purpose of this study was to analyze the improvement of relational understanding abilitiy and inductive reasoning ability of vocational high school’s students throught learning with cooperative model three step interview type. This research was quasi experiment with Non-Equivalent Control Group design, involving two randomly selected classes with cluster random sampling technic. Population in this research was all XI grade students in SMKF Bumi Siliwangi with the samples selected experimental class is class XI-A and the selected control class is class XI-B. Data of research collected through the instrument test and non-test. The instrument test according to the indicators of relational understanding abilitiy and inductive reasoning ability and has reliability with very high category, meanwhile non-test instrument consisting of observation sheets and daily journals. Data that used to analyze the improvement of relational understanding abilitiy and inductive reasoning ability was normalized gain (n-gain) and data processing used SPSS software version 20. The research results showed that: (1) The improvement relational understanding ability of students who get cooperative leaning model three step interview type is more better than students who get conventional learning; (2) The improvement inductive reasoning ability of students who get cooperative leaning model three step interview type is more better than students who get conventional learning;
