Abstract

Pembelajaran bahasa, terutama kompetensi wacana dan nilai toleransi dalam pendidikan karakter merupakan dua hal yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bagaimana bentuk konkret dari nilai toleransi yang terdapat dalam wacana ekspositorik Buku teks tematik tema 1 “indahnya kebersamaan” kelas IV sekolah dasar dan nilai sosial budaya apa yang memengaruhi produksi wacana. Analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis wacana kritis model Teun A. van Dijk. Analisis wacana kritis memandang wacana sebagai praktik sosial yang dipengaruhi dan memengaruhi nilai-nilai sosial budaya. Wacana ekspositorik bermanfaat untuk pengajaran bahasa sekaligus untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter. Wacana yang dianalisis berupa wacana ekspositorik yang mengandung nilai toleransi. Buku teks tematik tema 1 “indahnya kebersamaan” dipilih sebagai bahan kajian karena buku teks ini mengusung tema besar toleransi. Nilai toleransi merupakan salah satu nilai pendidikan karakter bangsa. Peneliti mengungkap wujud nilai toleransi yang dimunculkan pada wacana ekspositoriknya dan hal apa yang mempengaruhi produksi wacana dalam perwujudan nilai toleransi yang disampaikan. Kemudian ditemukan perwujudan nilai toleransi antar umat beragama yang bermasalah. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai upaya mengkritisi perwujudan nilai toleransi yang disampaikan kepada pembaca. Wacana ekspositorik pada penelitian ini banyak menyampaikan nilai toleransi dan kebersamaan. Dalam wacana dibuktikan dengan penanda langsung dalam kalimat secara eksplisit nilai toleransi yang ingin disampaikan. Dalam penelitian ini, juga ditemukan nilai religius dan rasa kebersamaan di antara perbedaan yang ada di dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Nilai religius yang ditemukan berupa ketaatan dalam menjalankan kewajiban selaku umat penganut agama. Rasa kebersamaan yang diwujudkan dipengaruhi oleh budaya gotong royong. Nilai toleransi yang diajarkan sebagian besar mencakup pada toleransi umat beragama sebagai penggambaran realitas sosial yang terdapat di lingkungan sekitar. This study aims to uncover the concrete form of tolerance values contained in expository discourse Thematic textbook theme 1 "the beauty of togetherness" of class IV elementary school and what socio-cultural values influence the production of discourse. The analysis in this study uses the critical discourse analysis of the Teun A. van Dijk model. Critical discourse analysis views discourse as a social practice that is influenced and influences socio-cultural values. Expository discourse is useful for teaching language as well as for instilling the values of character education. The discourse analyzed is in the form of expository discourse that contains tolerance values. Thematic textbook theme 1 "the beauty of togetherness" was chosen as study material because this textbook carries a large theme of tolerance. The value of tolerance is one of the values of the nation's character education. The researcher reveals the form of tolerance value that is raised in the expository discourse and what influences the production of discourse in the manifestation of the tolerance value delivered. Then found the embodiment of tolerance values among religious people who have problems. This research was conducted in an effort to criticize the realization of the tolerance value conveyed to the reader. The expository discourse in this study conveys the value of tolerance and togetherness. In the discourse, it is proven by the direct marker in the sentence, explicitly the tolerance value to be conveyed. In this study, also found religious values and a sense of togetherness between the differences that exist in social life. The religious value found in the form of obedience in carrying out the obligations as religious adherents. The sense of togetherness that is realized is influenced by mutual cooperation culture. Tolerance values that are taught mostly include religious tolerance as a depiction of the social reality contained in the surrounding environment.
