Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali dan mendeskripsikan pembentukan karakter peserta didik di SMK Negeri 1 Kawali melalui sistem Full Day School. Dalam hal itu kekayaan utama bangsa Indonesia adalah manusia yang terdidik, tercerahkan, berintegritas, dan berkarakter. Pendidikan dengan kualitas yang baik dimulai dari terbentuknya karakter mulia peserta didik. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi deskriptif. Pengumpulan data melalui teknik wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi dan studi literature. Analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan/ verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: (1) Perencanaan pembentukan karater Full Day School di SMK N 1 Kawali sudah terencana dan dipersiapkan secara baik dan matang. Perencanaan meliputi, kebijakan pemerintah, visi misi, tujuan sekolah full day school, strategi, pendekatan dengan stakeholders, program kegiatan, pembiayaan, dan kesiapan SDM. (2) Proses pembentukan karakter peserta didik melalui Full Day School meliputi kegiatan keagamaan yang biasa dilaksanakan setiap hari sebelum pembelajaran di mulai, peserta didik wajib menaati peraturan dan tata tertib disekolah, peserta didik mengikuti kegiatan bela negara, peserta didik mengikuti kegiatan kewirausahaan, peserta didik bekerja keras di bidang keahlian masing-masing dan peserta didik mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang menunjang dalam proses pembentukan karakter serta mengembangkan minat dan bakat peserta didik. (3) Hasil dari pembentukan karakter peserta didik telah menunjukan hasil yang sangat baik serta proses pelaksanaan pembentukan karakter berjalan sesuai perencanaan. (4) Respon stakeholder terhadap pembentukan karakter melalui sistem Full Day School sangat baik, hal itu terbukti telah terjalin kerjasama antara pihak sekolah dengan pihak anggota TNI (stakeholder) dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pembentukan karakter semangat kebangsaan dan pembentukan karakter kedisiplinan. (5) Kendala yang dihadapi dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik melalui sistem Full Day School di SMK N 1 Kawali adalah ketika menghadapi keluhan dan kejenuhan dari peserta didik yang akan mempengaruhi perilaku peserta didik untuk melanggar peraturan tata tertib sekolah. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem Full Day School dapat membentuk karakter peserta didik dengan terbentuknya karakter religius, kedisiplinan, kerja keras, semangat kebangsaan dan mandiri bagi peserta didik, serta dapat memperbaiki akhlak peserta didik di SMK N 1 Kawali.-- Enlightened and qualified Indonesians are the source of the nation's wealth. Indonesia's main wealth is man who had educated, enlightened, integrity, character. The Indonesian people need adequate human resources as the main pillar in National development. Within that framework, formal education (School education) has a very important role. School education that has its own domain, has become an integral part of everyone's life. Based on Law no.20 of 2003 on the National Education System in Article 3, which states that national education functions to develop capability and to form dignified characters and civilization in order to improve the life of the nation. Education with a dignified and good quality begins with the formation of noble characters of learners. This study aims to describe the formation and character building of learners in SMK Negeri 1 Kawali. Research study method was use descriptive, to explain and describe the character formation of students through the system Full Day School. Then got the result of research: Planning forming of Full Day School character at SMK N 1 Kawali already planned and prepared well and mature. The process of forming the character of learners through Full Day School by following the religious activities which is usually carried out every day before the learning begins, learners must obey the rules and discipline in school. There are sanctions for individual violations for participants who violate the rules. Stakeholder responses to the Full Day School system point to excellent responses. Constraints faced in the formation of the character of learners through the system Full Day School in SMK N 1 Kawali when faced with complaints and boredom of students who will affect the behavior of learners to violate the rules of school rules. Thus it can be concluded that the character formation of learners in SMK N 1 Kawali through Full Day School system can form the character of religious, discipline, hard work, spirit of nationalism and independence for learners, and can improve morals and aqidah learners SMK N 1 Kawali.
