Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang profil keterampilan berpikir sistem siswa pada materi biologi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai gambaran keterampilan berpikir sistem siswa SMA pada materi sistem ekskresi manusia. Keterampilan berpikir sistem merupakan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang berdasar pada model hierarki berpikir sistem yang terbagi menjadi tiga level. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 83 siswa SMA kelas XI MIPA di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes yang terdiri dari sebelas butir soal pilihan majemuk. Soal diberikan setelah siswa selesai mempelajari materi sistem ekskresi manusia. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir sistem siswa pada setiap indikator adalah mencapai kategori baik pada indikator dua dan indikator tiga, mencapai kategori cukup pada indikator satu, indikator lima, dan indikator tujuh, serta mencapai kategori kurang pada indikator empat dan indikator enam. Kemudian, keterampilan berpikir sistem siswa berdasarkan model hierarki berpikir sistem adalah mencapai kategori baik pada tingkat pertama (level A), mencapai kategori cukup pada tingkat kedua (level B), serta kategori kurang pada tingkat ketiga (level C). Dengan kategori persentase tertinggi siswa yang memiliki keterampilan berpikir sistem secara berturut-turut dari level terendah ke tertinggi, yaitu baik, cukup, dan kurang. The purpose of this study was to obtain information regarding the description of the systems thinking skills of high school students in the human excretory system material. Systems thinking skills is high order thinking skills based on a system thinking hierarchical model which is divided into three levels. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The research subjects were 83 senior high school students of eleventh class majoring science at one of the public high schools in Bandung City. The research instrument used was a test consisting of eleven multiple choice questions. The questions are given after students have finished studying the human excretory system material. The results of the research showed that students' systems thinking skills in each indicator were in the good category in indicator two and indicator three, in the sufficient category in indicator one, indicator five, and indicator seven, and in the poor category in indicator four and indicator six. Then, students' system thinking skills based on the system thinking hierarchical model are achieving a good category at the first level (level A), achieving a sufficient category at the second level (level B), and a poor category at the third level (level C). With the category of the highest percentage of students who have system thinking skills successively from the lowest level to the highest, namely good, poor, and poor.
