Abstract
Latar belakang dari penelitian ini yaitu kurangnya kemampuan siswa XI MIPA 1 SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung tahun ajaran 2022/2023 dalam menulis cerita pendek. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan (1) kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa sebelum menggunakan model writing workshop; (2) kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa setelah menggunakan model writing workshop; (3) aspék yang meningkat setelah menggunakan modél writing workshop; (4) ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan siswa sebelum dan setelah menggunakan model writing workshop. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain penelitian one group pretest and posttest. Tehnik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes kepada siswa kelas XI MIPA 1 SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung tahun ajaran 2022/2023 yang berjumlah 21 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan: (1) kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa sebelum menggunakan model writing workshop tergolong belum tuntas dengan rata-rata nilai 57,76; (2) kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa setelah menggunakan model writing workshop tergolong tuntas dengan rata-rata nilai 80,76; (3) aspék yang paling meningkat setelah menggunakan model writing workshop yaitu pemakaian bahasa 1,81; (4) ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa sebelum dan setelah menggunakan model writing workshop. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil uji hipotesis menunjukan hipotesis H1 diterima dan hipotesis H0 ditolak. Artinya ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa sebelum dan setelah menggunakan model writing workshop. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa model writing workshop mampu meningkatkan kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa kelas XI MIPA 1 SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung tahun ajaran 2022/2023. The background of this study is the lack of ability of students XI MIPA 1 SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung in the 2022/2023 school year in writing short stories. The purpose of this study is to describe (1) students' short story writing ability before using the writing workshop model; (2) students' short story writing ability after using the writing workshop model; (3) aspects that improved after using the writing workshop model; (4) there is a significant difference between students' ability before and after using the writing workshop model. The method used was a quasi-experimental study using a one group pretest and posttest research design. The data collection technique used was a test to students in class XI MIPA 1 SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung in the 2022/2023 school year totaling 21 students. Based on the research results obtained: (1) students' ability to write short stories before using the writing workshop model is classified as not yet able with an average score of 58.86%; (2) students' ability to write short stories after using the writing workshop model is classified as able with an average score of 81.71; (3) aspects that most improved after using the writing workshop model is the use of language 1,81; (4) there is a significant difference between students' ability to write short stories before and after using the writing workshop model. This can be seen from the results of the hypothesis test showing that the H1 hypothesis is accepted and the H0 hypothesis is rejected. This means that there is a significant difference between students' ability to write short stories before and after using the writing workshop model. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the writing workshop model is able to improve the ability to write short stories of students in class XI MIPA 1 SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung in the 2022/2023 academic year.
