    Abstract

    It is essential to develop reading skills from the elementary level. Various methods can be used to improve reading skills, one of them is the question and answer method based on prophetic pedagogy through the Yufid Kids YouTube channel. This thesis research was carried out at Cintaresmi Cianjur Public Elementary School with the aim of knowing students' reading skills with comprehension after receiving treatment in learning using the Prophetic Pedagogic-Based Question and Answer method on Islamic Religious Education Materials on the Yufid Kids Youtube Channel. This research approach is quantitative with a quasi-experimental research design. The instruments in this research were observation format, document study and pretest-posttest multiple choice questions. The research population was 54 people. Meanwhile, the sample consisted of 26 respondents as the control group and 28 respondents as the experimental group. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. Testing the validity and reliability of the research instruments was carried out at SDN Cijeler while the research respondents were students from SDN Cintaresmi. The student profiles of these two schools are similar in terms of demographic data. The results of the study based on the results of the comparative test show that the t-count value is -2.520 outside the t-table value (-2.007 – 2.007) and the p-value is 0.015 <0.05, so it can be concluded that rejecting H0 and accepting H1 means that there is a difference which is significant (significant) in improving students' reading skills between the control class and the experimental class. The implication of this research is that it has been verified that the Prophetic Pedagogic-Based Question and Answer Method on Islamic Religious Education Materials in the Yufid Kids Channel Youtube has an urgency to be used in improving reading skills. It is recommended that educators know and apply the question and answer method based on prophetic pedagogy so that students can achieve significant results in achieving reading skills.
