Abstract
Pembagian kerja di era modern saat ini antara ayah-ibu semakin kompleks dan variatif. Kini, ibu juga dapat memiliki pekerjaan di luar rumah. Namun, dengan adanya pandemi COVID-19 membuat sejumlah aktivitas harus dilakukan dari rumah, seperti bekerja dan pembelajaran berbasis online. Pembelajaran berbasis online memberikan beberapa ketentuan bagi anak yang berdampak pada peran orang tua dalam melakukan pendampingan. Pada kenyataannya masih ada orang tua yang tidak dapat mendampingi anaknya untuk mengakses pembelajaran secara online. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran secara mendalam tentang peran dual earner family dalam pendampingan pembelajaran berbasis online pada anak di tingkat SD. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi melalui media perantara online. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu: (1) pembagian peran dual earner family untuk dapat melakukan pendampingan pembelajaran berbasis online pada anak ialah dengan selalu berbagi peran satu sama lain sebagai pendidik antara ayah dan ibu dalam kondisi WFH. (2) hambatan yang dirasakan dalam proses pendampingan belajar anak yaitu pengelolaan waktu antara pekerjaan publik dan domestik seperti mendampingi anak, serta kondisi anak yang menurun saat melakukan pembelajaran. (3) upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut ialah dengan melakukan tipe pola komunikasi persamaan pada keluarga antara ayah dan ibu, memberikan pengertian dan mengajak bermain sebelum pembelajaran dimulai agar suasana hati anak merasa bahagia. Sehingga, diharapkan para orang tua yang berkriteria dual earner family dapat terus melakukan pendampingan secara konsisten dan menerapkan berbagai cara agar anak selalu mengikuti pembelajaran berbasis online selama kondisi pandemi COVID-19. Now, mothers can also have jobs outside the home. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced all activities at home, such as work and online based learning. Online based learning provides several provisions for children that have an impact on the role of parents in providing assistance. In fact, there are still parents who cannot accompany their children to access learning online. This study aims to describe the role of dual earner families in-based learning assistance online for children at the elementary level. The method used is a case study method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out by interviews, observations, and documentation studies through online intermediary media. The findings of this study are: (1) the division of roles of dual earner families to be able to provide online based learning to children is to always share roles with each other as educators between fathers and mothers in WFH conditions. (2) the perceived obstacles in the process of mentoring children's learning are time management between public and domestic work such as accompanying children, as well as the declining condition of children while doing learning. (3) the efforts made to overcome these obstacles are by doing the type of communication pattern of equality in the family between father and mother, providing understanding and using the play method before learning begins so that the child's mood feels happy. So it is expected that parents with criteria dual earner family can continue to provide assistance consistently and apply various ways so that children always follow-based learning online during the COVID-19 pandemic.
