    Abstract

    Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) unsur objektif yang merupakan
    struktur cerita dari novel Handeuleum na Haté Beureum karya Chyé Rétty Isnéndés (2) unsur
    ekspresif Chyé Rétty dalam mencurahkan pikiran pada waktu mengarang novel Handeuleum
    na Haté Beureum (3) hubungan antara unsur objektif dan ekspresif (4) penerapan hasil
    penelitian dijadikan alternatif bahan ajar membaca novel di SMA kelas XI. Metode yang
    digunakan dalam penelitian ini deskriptif analitik dengan teknik studi pustaka dan wawancara
    untuk menggali informasi mengenai unsur ekspresif pengarang pada karyanya. Hasil dari
    penelitian (1) tema yang terdapat pada novel Handeuleum na Haté Beureum cinta segitiga dua
    pria pada satu wanita yang banyak rintangannya, alur yang digunakan alur maju mundur, isi
    ceritanya terdiri dari 28 tokoh, 63 latar tempat, 37 latar waktu, 2 latar sosial, judulnya
    murwakanti, sudut pandang yang digunakan orang ke tiga, dan 9 gaya bahasa (2) unsur
    ekspresif yang berasal dari faktor mental pengarang terdiri dari kontemplasi, spontanitas,
    intuisi, pengalaman, intelegensi, integrasi, kepribadian, emosi, konsep seni, kekuatan batin,
    imajinasi, dan rasa. (3) setelah meneliti unsur ekspresif muncul proses kreatif yang dialami
    oleh pengarang di antaranya tahap pendekatan, tahap penemuan, tahap penggarapan, tahap
    pengekspresian, serta tahap mengkomunikasikan (4) hasil dari penelitian dijadikan alternatif
    bahan ajar membaca novel di SMA kelas XI karena memenuhi kriteria bahan ajar. This study aims to describe (1) the objective elements which constitute the structure of the story
    of the novel Handeuleum na Haté Beureum by Chyé Rétty Isnéndés (2) the expressive elements
    of Chyé Rétty in pouring out thoughts when writing the novel Handeuleum na Haté Beureum
    (3) the relationship between objective elements and expressive (4) the application of research
    results to be used as an alternative teaching material for reading novels in class XI SMA. The
    method used in this research is descriptive analytic with literature study techniques and
    interviews to dig up information on the expressive elements of the author in his work. The
    results of the study (1) the theme contained in the novel Handeuleum na Haté Beureum, the
    love triangle of two men in one woman with many obstacles, the plot used is back and forth,
    the contents of the story consisted of 28 characters, 63 settings, 37 time settings, 2 backgrounds
    social, the title is murwakanti, the point of view used by the third person, and 9 styles of
    language (2) the expressive elements derived from the author's mental factors consist of
    contemplation, spontanity, intuition, experience, intelligence, integration, personality,
    emotion, art concept, strength mind, imagination, and taste. (3) after examining the expressive
    elements, the creative processes experienced by the author appear, including the approach
    stage, the discovery stage, the cultivation stage, the expression stage, and the stage of
    communicating (4) the results of the research are used as alternative teaching materials for
    reading novels in high school class XI because they meet the material criteria teach.
