Abstract
Kegiatan pembelajaran saintifik di satuan PAUD akan berjalan dengan baik apabila guru telah memahami apa itu pendekatan saintifik. Karena itu, permasalah penelitian diarahkan pada bagaimana pemahaman guru tentang pendekatan saintifik. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui pemahamn guru tentang konsep dan implementasi pendekatan saintifik pada satuan PAUD di kelurahan Sukaraja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian survei dan populasi penelitiannya seluruh guru satuan PAUD di Kelurahan Sukaraja Kota Bandung berjumlah 53 orang. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru satuan PAUD di Kelurahan Sukaraja menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari 84,6% guru di Kelurahan Sukaraja berada pada kategori cukup paham terhadap konsep dan implementasi pendekatan saintifik. Guna meningatkatkan pemahaman guru, maka guru dapat mengikuti kegiatan yang diselenggarakan pemerintah atau lembaga lain mengenai pembelajaran dalam pendekatan saintifik, dan aktif dalam mencari informasi mengenai pendekatan saintifik. Scientific learning activities in Early Childhood Education (PAUD) unit will theoretically run well if the teachers have already understood the scientific approach itself. Therefore, this research problem is focused on how the teachers define and comprehend the concept of a scientific approach. This research aims to identify teachers comprehension of the concept and implementation of the scientific approach in PAUD in Sukaraja sub-district. This research utilizes the survey research method. The population of this research includes all 53 PAUD teachers in Sukaraja sub-distrct. A descriptive analysis technique is also used in this research. The result implies that over 84,6% of PAUD teachers in Sukaraja sub-district have already had a clear understanding of the concept and implementation of the scientific approach. In order to achieve better understanding of scientific approach, teachers are given access to numerous activities granted by government or any other institutions. It is also recommended that teachers be more active in the search of information regarding scientific approach.
