Abstract

Berbicara tentang pendidikan, peneliti sering mendengar kebanyakan orang membicarakan tentang keunggulan sistem pendidikan Finlandia yang merupakan sistem terbaik dunia. Maka dari itu peneliti tertarik untuk menganalisis isi buku Teach Like Finlandia karya Timothy D Walker yang terfokus pada pembahasan strategi pembelajaran kelas Finlandia. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode analisis isi buku (text book analysis). Sumber data penelitian yaitu buku Teach like Finlandia. Peneliti melakukan analisis penelitian dengan cara membaca keseluruhan isi dan menganalisis temuan-temuan penting. Hasil penelitian analisis buku ditemukan bahwa suksesnya pendidikan di Finlandia bukan ditentukan dari panjangnya waktu siswa belajar di dalam kelas, melainkan karena banyaknya strategi menarik yang diberikan guru kepada siswa saat proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini masih sangat sedikit digunakan oleh karena itu penelitian ini belum sempurna dan diharapkan penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi untuk penelitian selanjutnya. Abstract : Talking about education, researchers often hear most people talk about the advantages of the Finnish education system which is the world's best system. Therefore, researchers are interested in analyzing the contents of the book Teach Like Finland by Timothy D Walker which focuses on discussing Finnish classroom learning strategies. The study used a qualitative approach and text book analysis methods. The source of research data is the book Teach like Finland. Researchers carry out research analysis by reading the entire content and analyzing important findings. The results of the book analysis research found that the success of education in Finland is not determined by the length of time students study in class, but because of the many interesting strategies that teachers give students during the learning process. This research is still very little used, therefore this research is not perfect and it is hoped that this research can be a reference for further research.
