Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam mengembangkan kreativitas ketika menggambar, hal itu tampak pada kebiasaan siswa melakukan pengulangan bentuk objek gambar. Mengembangkan kreativitas siswa dalam menggambar tidak mudah, maka metode pembelajaran yang tepat bisa menjadi faktor pendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran. Salah satu metode yang bisa digunakan yaitu metode ekspresi bebas untuk mengembangkan imajinasinya ketika menggambar agar hasilnya lebih kreatif. Penelitian ini memiliki dua rumusan masalah yaitu bagaimana penggunaan metode ekspresi bebas terhadap kreativitas menggambar siswa dan bagaimana hasil dari penggunaan metode ekspresi bebas terhadap kreativits menggambar siswa. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui penggunaan metode ekspresi bebas dan hasil terhadap kreativitas menggambar siswa. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 18 siswa di kelas IVA SDIT Insan Teladan Kecamatan Cileunyi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualitatif, karena data yang diperoleh berupa kata-kata dan gambar yang diolah dalam bentuk deskripsi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan metode ekspresi bebas diawali dengan menentukan media dan bahan, menentukan tema, membuat sketsa dan memberikan warna. Didapatkan hasil menggambar siswa masih terbilang rendah sebanyak 7 orang dengan kisaran nilai 60-69, siswa yang masuk kategori sangat baik 2 orang dengan kisaran nilai 90-100, siswa yang masuk ke katergori baik 6 orang dengan kisaran nilai 80-89, siswa yang masuk ke kategori sedang 3 orang dengan kisaan nilai 70-79, dan juga tidak terdapat siswa yang masuk ke kategori sangat rendah dengan kisaran nilai kurang dari 60. Siswa kelas IVA pernah mengikuti perlombaan menggambar tingkat sekolah dasar kelas tinggi dan memperoleh juara tiga. ----- ----- This research is motivated by the lack of students 'ability to develop creativity when drawing, it appears in students' habits of repeating the shape of the object image. Developing student creativity in drawing is not easy, then the right learning method can be a supporting factor for learning success. One method that can be used is the free expression method to develop his imagination when drawing so that the results are more creative. This study has two problem formulations, namely how to use the free expression method to draw students' creativity and how the results of the use of the free expression method to draw student creativity. The purpose of the study was to determine the use of free expression methods and results on students' drawing creativity. The research subjects were 18 students in class IVA SDIT Insan Teladan Cileunyi Sub-district. This type of research is qualitative research, because the data obtained in the form of words and images are processed in the form of descriptions. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that the use of the free expression method begins with determining the media and material, determining the theme, sketching and giving color. Obtained the results of drawing students are still relatively low as many as 7 people with a range of grades 60-69, students who are in the very good category 2 people with a range of grades 90-100, students who enter the category either 6 people with a range of grades 80-89, students who enter to the medium category 3 people with a score of 70-79, and also there were no students who entered the very low category with a range of grades less than 60. IVA graders had participated in high school grade drawing and won third place.
