Abstract
Kesulitan membaca permulaan merupakan kesulitan belajar yang biasanya dialami oleh siswa kelas rendah sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesulitan membaca permulaan di kelas 1 sekolah dasar negeri Sukajaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini berupa tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang telah dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan teknik analisis data deskriptif kualititatif yaitu dengan redusi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan (verifikasi). Jumlah keseluruhan siswa di sekolah dasar Sukajaya di kelas 1 ada 29 dan 10 orang diantaranya mengalami kesulitan dalam membaca. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dari 10 orang yang mengalami kesulitan membaca hasilnya beragam. Faktor-faktor yang menghambat siswa dalam kesulitan membaca permulaan diantaranya yaitu kurangnya minat siswa dalam belajar membaca, kurangnya motivasi siswa dalam belajar membaca permulaan, kurangnya fasilitas dalam belajar membaca di rumah, dan kurangnya dukungan dari orangtua. Dengan adanya analisis kesulitan membaca permulaan ini diharapkan guru bisa memberikan treatmean (penanganan) yang tepat setelah mengetahui letak kesulitan membaca siswa. ----- Beginning readingdifficulty is a learning difficulty that is usually experienced by low grade elementary school students. This study aims to describe the difficulty of beginning reading in grade 1 Sukajaya elementary school. This study used qualitative research with a case study analysis method. Data collection techniques in this study are the form of tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques were used to analyze the data collection , namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions (verification). The total number of students in Sukajaya elementary school in grade 1 are 29 and 10 of them have difficulty in reading. The results of the analysis of 10 students who have difficulty reading give thevarious result. Factors that prevented students from having beginning reading difficulty included a lack of student interest in learning to read, lack of student motivation in learning to begin reading, lack of facilities in learning to read at home, and lack of support from parents. With this reading difficulty analysis, it is expected that the teacher can provide appropriate treatments after knowing where the students' reading difficulties.
