Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ditemukannya berbagai hambatan belajar pada konsep pengumpulan dan penyajian data siswa kelas V di salah satu SD negeri di Kabupaten Bandung yang ditunjukkan melaui kekeliruan siswa dalam memaknai konsep. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hambatan-hambatan belajar pada konsep pengumpulan dan penyajian data siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah fenomenologi hermeneutik dengan memilih subjek penelitian sebanyak 10 siswa kelas V yang didapatkan melalui strategi purposeful sampling. Teknik dan alat pengumpulan data menggunakan studi literatur, tes, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Data diolah melalui prosedur explanation, Naïve Understanding, In-depth Understanding, dan Appropriation. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah deskripsi mengenai makna konsep pengumpulan dan penyajian data menurut siswa Sekolah Dasar, deksripsi mengenai pengalaman siswa dalam memperoleh makna konsep pengumpulan dan penyajian data serta deskripsi mengenai learning obstacles pada konsep pengumpulan dan penyajian data berdasarkan pada makna dan pengalaman yang dimiliki oleh siswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat 3 jenis learning obstacles pada konsep pengumpulan dan penyajian data siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Learning obstacles tersebut dapat diatasi dengan mempersiapkan beberapa hal sebelum melaksanakan pembelajaran diantaranya yaitu dengan mempersiapkan media pembelajaran atau alat peraga, memilih model pembelajaran yang tahapannya sesuai dengan tahapan perkembangan kognitif siswa dan membuat sebuah bahan ajar yang dapat digunakan untuk melengkapi berbagai kekurangan yang ada di buku siswa. This research is based by the discovery of various learning obstacles in the concept of data collection and presentation on 5th grade students in elementary school in Bandung which is shown through the mistake of students in interpreting the concept. The aim of this research is to describe the learning obstacles on the concept of data collection and presentation on 5th grade students in elementary school stundets. The method used in this research was fenomenologi hermeneutic by selecting 10 research subjects from 5th grade students obtained through the purposeful sampling strategy. Data collection tehchniques and tools use literature study, interview, test, and study documentation. The data is processed through procedures explanation, Naïve Understanding, In-depth Understanding, and Appropriation. The results of this study are a description of the meaning of the concept of collecting and presenting data according to elementary school students, a description of students experiences in obtaining the meaning on the concept of collecting and presenting data and a description of the learning obstacles on the concept of collecting and presenting data based on the meaning and experiences of students. The conclution of this study is that there are 3 types of learning obstacles in the concept of data collection and presentation on 5th grade students in elementary school. Learning obtacles can be overcome by preparing several things before carrying out learning including by preparing learning media or teaching aids, choose a learning model that stages according to the stages of students cognitive development and make a teaching material that can be used to complement the various deficiencies in student books.
