Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas V dalam materi perpindahan kalor. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA pada siswa kelas V, serta (2) mengetahui faktor yang memengaruhi kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA pada siswa kelas V. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan karena perlu adanya analisis dan kajian secara mendalam tentang kasus kemampuan pemahaman konsep IPA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Subjek dari penelitian adalah empat orang subjek siswa kelas V SDN Pangulah Selatan II yang dipilih berdasarkan rekomendasi guru kelas yang telah dipertimbangkan kemampuan dan kesediannya yang akan memberikan data untuk kebutuhan penelitiaan. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen soal tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan wawancara. Untuk menguji keabshahan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu triangulasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yaitu (1) kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas V SDN Pangulah Selatan II pada pembelajaran IPA materi perpindahan kalor menunjukkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa yang baik (2) faktor yang mempengaruhi pemahaman konsep siswa kelas V SDN Pangulah Selatan II pada pembelajaran IPA materi perpindahan kalor yaitu faktor raw input, environmental input dan instrumental input. This study discussed about the ability of concept understanding in the science in grade V student in learning materials heat displacement. The purpose of this study is; (1) to know the ability of concept understanding in the science in grade V student; (2) knowing the factors that affect the ability of concept understanding in the science in grade V student. This study is conducted because an in-depth analysis and study about the ability of concept understanding in the science in grade V student. This type of study is qualitative with type of case study. The subject of this study is four subject of the student grade V at SDN Pangulah Selatan II selected based on recommendation of the class teacher who had considered his abilities and willingness that would provide the data for the research needs. In this study using instrument tes questions of the ability of concept understanding in the science and interviews of the ability of concept understanding. To validity of the data used in this research is triangulation. The data analysis techniques used data reduction, data display and then conclusion drawing/verification. The result of this study is;(1) the ability of concept understanding in the science in grade V student in learning materials heat displacement demonstrate a good understanding of student concepts; (2) factors affecting of the ability of concept understanding in the science in grade V SDN Pangulah Selatan II is raw input factors, environmental input factors, and instrumental input factors.
