Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan 1) kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas IV (empat) sekolah dasar pada materi keliling dan luas bangun datar 2) kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika ditinjau berdasarkan indikator a) menyatakan ulang sebuah konsep, b) mengembangkan syarat perlu atau syarat cukup suatu konsep, c) menggunakan, memanfaatkan, dan memilih prosedur atau operasi tertentu, d) mengaplikasikan konsep atau algoritma pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian berjumlah lima siswa. Pengambilan data dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli 2020. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas IV (empat) SD pada materi keliling dan luas bangun datar dari lima subjek yaitu 1 subjek memiliki kemampuan pemahaman konsep baik, 1 subjek memiliki kemampuan cukup, 1 subjek memiliki kemampuan kurang dan 2 lainnya memiliki kemampuan sangat kurang. 2) pencapaian subjek pada indikator menyatakan ulang sebuah konsep memperoleh persentase sebesar 0 %. Subjek mampu memunculkan kemampuan mengembangkan syarat perlu atau syarat cukup suatu konsep dengan besar persentase 60 %. Selanjutnya pencapaian subjek pada indikator menggunakan, memanfaatkan, dan memilih prosedur atau operasi tertentu memperoleh persentase sebesar 40 %. Sedangkan untuk indikator terakhir yaitu mengaplikasikan konsep atau algoritma pemecahan masalah, subjek mampu memunculkan persentase pencapaian indikator sebesar 50 %. This study aims to analyze and describe 1) the ability to understand mathematical concepts in grade IV (four) elementary school students on the circumference and area of the flat 2) the ability to understand mathematical concepts reviewed based on indicators a) restating a concept, b) developing necessary or sufficient conditions for a concept, c) use, utilize, and select specific procedures or operations, d) to apply the concept or problem-solving algorithm. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in the study were five students. Data collection was implemented in July 2020. The results showed that 1) the ability to understand mathematical concepts of grade IV (four) elementary school students on the circumference and area of the flat from five subjects are, 1 subject has a good concept understanding ability, 1 subject has sufficient ability, 1 subject has low ability and 2 others have very poor ability. 2) the subject's achievement on the indicator restates a concept obtains a percentage of 0%. Subjects can bring up the ability to develop necessary or sufficient conditions for a concept with a large percentage of 60%. Furthermore, the subject's achievement on indicators of using, utilizing, and selecting certain procedures or operation obtains a percentage of 40%. As for the last indicator, which is applying the concept or a problem-solving algorithm, the subject can bring up the percentage of tthe indicator achievement by 50%.
