Abstract

Fasilitas teknologi merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat menunjang kegiatan belajar mengajar khususnya siswa SMK ranah teknologi dan informasi. Berpikir komputasi juga merupakan salah satu kemampuan pendukung yang harus dimiliki setiap siswa. Hal ini sejalan dengan studi pendahuluan yang telah peneliti lakukan, guru menyatakan bahwa siswa kesulitan serta kurang aktif saat mempelajari materi pemrograman dasar yang disebabkan oleh terbatasnya media yang digunakan dan metode yang kurang optimal. Maka, tujuan penelitian ini yaitu merancang media pembelajaran berupa unplugged dengan metode Team Assisted Individualization yang selanjutnya disebut BoCaGa. Dokumentasi media dirancang menggunakan animasi agar menggambarkan kegiatan pembelajaran dengan jelas. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode eksperimen semu pretest dan posttest control group design. Sehingga, diperoleh: 1) media pembelajaran dinyatakan layak digunakan dengan nilai persentase sebesar 94,23% termasuk kategori “Sangat Baik” oleh ahli media. (2) Media pembelajaran yang telah dirancang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir komputasi siswa dengan rata-rata nilai gain sebesar 0,49 dan kriteria efektivitas “sedang”. (3) Respon siswa terhadap penggunaan BoCaGa menunjukkan nilai persentase sebesar 97, 87% dengan kategori ”Sangat Baik”. Technology facilities are one of the reasons that can support teaching and learning activities, especially vocational students in field of technology and information. Computational thinking is also one of the supporting abilities that every student must have. This is in line with the preliminary studies that researchers have done, the teacher stated that students had difficulty and were less active when learning basic programming materials caused by the limited media and less ideal methods. Then, the purpose of this research is to produce an unplugged learning media with Team Assisted Individualization method, herein after referred as BoCaGa. Media documentation is designed using animation to illustrate learning activities. The study used is qualitative approach and quasi-experimental methods of pretest and posttest control group design. The results is: (1) Learning media were feasible to use with a percentage value of 94.23%, also categorized "Very Good" by media experts. (2) Learning media that has been designed can improve students computational thinking skills with an average gain value of 0.49 and the effectiveness criteria is "Medium". (3) Student responses to the use of BoCaGa as learning media showed a percentage value of 97,87% with the category "Very Good".
