Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan atas dasar asumsi bahwa peserta didik membutuhkan kecerdasan dalam menyimpulkan informasi yang diterima dan dibaca. Proses pembelajaran bagi peserta didik dalam mengolah informasi yang diterima salah satunya melalui pembelajaran teks berita. Penelitian ini merupakan penerapan strategi dialog mendalam dan berpikir kritis (DMBK) berbantuan media realia dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan dari hasil menulis teks berita antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen kuasi dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas VIII-A dan VIII-B SMP Negeri 3 Lembang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketika pretes, kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai rata-rata 41,07 dan kelas kontrol memiliki nilai rata-rata 43,62. Setelah diterapkan perlakuan, nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen meningkat menjadi 76. Begitu pula nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol yang meningkat menjadi 59,14. Setelah hasil perhitungan statistik untuk menguji hipotesis, didapatkan angka 0,000 yang berarti < 0,05. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis penelitian ini, "H" _"o" ditolak dan "H" _"a" diterima. Ini berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan kemampuan menuis antara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan strategi DMBK berbantuan media realia dengan kelas kontrol yang tidak menggunakan strategi DMBK berbantuan media realia. Dengan perbedaan itu pula dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi DMBK berbantuan media realia dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis peserta didik dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita.;--This research was conducted on the basis of the assumption that students need intelligence in concluding information that received and read. One of the learning process for students in processing information that received is through learning news texts. This research is an application of a strategy of deep dialogue and critical thinking (DMBK) assisted by realia media in learning to write news texts. The purpose of this study was to determine significant differences in the results of writing news texts between the experimental class and the control class. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The study was conducted in class VIII-A and VIII-B of SMP Negeri 3 Lembang. The results showed that when pretested, the experimental class had an average value of 41.07 and the control class had an average value of 43.62. After applying the treatment, the average value of the experimental class increased to 76. Similarly, the average value of the control class increased to 59.14. After the results of statistical calculations to test the hypothesis, the number obtained 0,000 which means <0.05. This shows that the hypothesis of this research, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a significant difference in writing ability between the experimental class using the real media assisted DMBK strategy and the control class not using the realia media assisted DMBK strategy. With these differences it can also be concluded that the DMBK strategy assisted by realia media can improve students' writing ability in learning to write news texts.
