Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi masih rendahnya motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa di sekolah dasar. Motivasi dan hasil belajar di sekolah dasar sangat penting dilakukan, khususnya dalam pembelajaran IPS. Dengan motivasi dapat menunjang hasil belajar siswa dengan materi Persiapan Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia. Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan penggunaan metode Value Clarification Technique terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SDN Babakan Tiga Kelas VA dan VB Kecamatan Ciwidey Kabupaten Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes berupa pilihan ganda untuk menguji hasil belajar dan angket untuk menguji motivasi belajar siswa yang diberikan sebelum dan setelah perlakuan. Perlakuan yang diberikan kepada kelas eskperimen adalah metode Value Clarification Technique, sedangkan kelas kontrol mendapat perlakuan pembelajaran konvensional. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif secara statistik melalui uji perbedaan rerata dengan taraf signifikan α = 0,05. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran Value Clarification Technique dapat dilihat dengan membandingkan hasil belajar siswa, N-Gain pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Pemerataan perolehan skor dihitung dengan membandingkan variansi nilai antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Dari data yang di peroleh rata-rata N-Gain motivasi siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan motivasi di kelas kontrol. Salah satu penyebabnya, karena guru yang memberikan materi pembelajaran di kelas eksperimen menggunakan pembelajaran Value Clarification Technique. -----------This research is motivated by low motivation and student learning outcomes in primary school. Motivation and learning outcomes in elementary school is very important, especially in social studies. With the motivation to support student learning outcomes with the material Preparation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. This research is to know the increase of Value Clarification Technique method to motivation and learning result. The research method used is quasi experiment. Subjects in the study were the students of grade V SDN Babakan Tiga Class VA and VB Ciwidey District Bandung District. The instrument used in this study is a multiple choice test to test learning outcomes and questionnaires to test student learning motivation given before and after treatment. The treatment given to the experimental class is the Value Clarification Technique method, while the control class gets conventional learning treatment. Data analysis was done by quantitative and qualitative analysis statistically by mean difference test with significant level α = 0,05. To know the effect of applying Value Clarification Technique learning can be seen by comparing student learning result, N-Gain in control class and experiment class. Equity score is calculated by comparing the value variance between the control class and the experimental class. From the data obtained the average N-Gain student's motivation in the experimental class is higher when compared with the motivation in the control class. One of the causes, because the teacher who provides learning materials in the experimental class using learning Clarification Technique.
