Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya percaya diri siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Indikasinya bahwa siswa masih belum mampu mengungkapkan apa yang dipikirkan oleh dirinya dan merasa takut untuk tampil di depan kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pendekatan Somatis, Auditori, Visual, Intelektual (SAVI) dalam rangka meningkatkan percaya diri siswa kelas III sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas Model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes. Data kualitatif tentang pembelajaran diolah melalui reduksi data (data reduction), penyajian data (data display), dan verifikasi (verification). Sedangkan data kuantitatif tentang pembelajaran diolah melalui data statistik presentase dan rata-rata kelas. Pada siklus I tingkat percaya diri siswa mencapai 66%. Pada siklus II terlihat peningkatan yang cukup signifikan yaitu sekitar 24% sehingga tingkat percaya diri siswa menjadi 90%. Hal ini didukung oleh RPP yang disusun sebelum pembelajaran oleh guru sehingga kualitas pembelajaran pada siklus lebih baik dibandingkan prasiklus. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh selama penelitian ternyata bahwa penerapan pendekatan SAVI dapat meningkatkan percaya diri siswa di sekolah dasar.;--This research is motivated by the low self-esteem of students during the learning process. The indication that the student is still not able to express what he thinks and fears to appear in front of the class. This study aims to describe the application of the approach Somatis, Auditori, Visual, Intellectual (SAVI) in order to improve students' confidence in grade III primary school. The method used in this research is Research Class Action Kemmis and Mc Model. Taggart. Data were collected through observation and tests. Qualitative data about learning processed through data reduction, data presentation, and verification. While the quantitative data about learning processed through statistical data percentage and average class. In the first cycle students' confidence level reached 66%. In the second cycle seen a significant increase of about 24% so that students' self-confidence to 90%. This is supported by RPP prepared before the learning by the teacher so that the quality of learning in the cycle is better than prasiklus.
