PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SOMATIS, AUDITORI, VISUAL, INTELEKTUAL (SAVI) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS PERMULAAN SISWA KELAS II SEKOLAH DASAR

    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan
    menulis permulaan siswa kelas II di salah satu sekolah dasar.
    Hal tersebut terlihat saat peneliti melakukan observasi, hasil
    tulisan siswa masih memerlukan bimbingan dan latihan.
    Partisipan dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas II B yang
    berjumlah 27 orang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1)
    mendeskripsikan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP)
    dengan menerapkan pendekatan SAVI. (2) mendeskripsikan
    proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan
    pendekatan SAVI. (3) mendeskripsikan peningkatan
    keterampilan menulis permulaan siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar
    setelah proses pembelajaran dilaksaksanakan dengan
    menerapkan pendekatan SAVI. Berdasarkan permasalahan
    tersebut, dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tiga siklus
    dengan menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK)
    Kemmis & Taggart. Pengolahan data yang dilakukan yaitu
    analisis data kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Pada siklus I
    persentase ketuntasan siswa naik menjadi 51% dengan nilai ratarata
    68,2. Siklus II persentase ketuntasan siswa mengalami
    peningkatan menjadi 74% dengan nilai rata-rata 79,9. Pada
    siklus III persentase ketuntasan siswa kembali mengalami
    peningkatan menjadi 88% dengan nilai rata-rata 83,8.
    Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan
    SAVI dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatan keterampilan
    menulis permulaan siswa kelas II sekolah dasar.;--- This research is based on the low skill of the beginning writing
    of second grade students in one primary school. It was seen
    when the researcher didan observation, students' writing results
    still require guidance and training. Participants in this research
    are students of class II B consist 27 people. This research aims
    to (1) describe the lesson plan by applying the SAVI approach.
    (2) describe the learning process by applying the SAVI
    approach. (3) describe the improvement of the beginning writing
    skill students in second grade Elementary School after the
    learning process is done by applying SAVI approach. Based on
    these problems, this research implemented classroom action
    research which conducted with three cycles using Kemmis &
    Taggart classroom action research’s design (PTK). Data
    processing is analyzed by quantitative data analysis and
    qualitative descriptive. In cycle I the percentage of students'
    completeness increased to 51% with an average score of 68.2. In
    cycle II the percentage of students’ completeness increased to
    74% with an average value of 79.9. In cycle III, the percentage
    of students’ completeness increased to 88% with an average
    value of 83.8. Based on these results, it can be concluded that
    SAVI approach in learning can improve the beginningwriting
    skill of second grade elementary school students.
