Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perbedaaan praktik metode sorogan yang dilakukan pada dua pondok pesantren salafiyah yaitu pesantren Raudhatul Ulum dengan Pesantren Al-Barokah. Pesantren pertama hanya menyetorkan hafalan teks dari isi kitab seminggu sekali. Santri merasa kurang memahami kitab dengan metode tersebut. Sedangkan pesantren kedua menyetorkan isi kitab beserta sesi tanya jawabnya sehingga santri terus dilatih untuk memahami isi kitab. Perbedaan praktik sorogan ini dipandang mempengaruhi tingkat pemahaman santri terhadap isi kitab. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis metode sorogan dalam pembelajaran kitab kuning terkait perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi serta kendalanya di pesantren Al-Barokah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini kyai menyiapkan perencanaan pembelajaran yakni menyiapkan media pembelajaran berupa microfon dan papan tulis serta membagi kelompok untuk memudahkan santri dalam mempelajari kitab yang nantinya akan dievaluasi langsung oleh kyai. Pelaksanaan metode sorogan terdiri dari santri menerjemah, mendengarkan penjelasan kyai kemudian santri menyetorkan isi kitab kepada kyai dan pembimbing. Evaluasi sorogan yaitu dibacakan kembali isi kitab beserta penjelasannya serta tanya jawab (tes lisan) dan tes tulisan. Kendala yang dihadapi santri saat metode sorogan terdapat dalam diri santri yakni malas untuk sorogan. Adapun kendala dari luar diri santri adalah waktu yang terbatas, pembimbing yang kurang efektif dalam membantu kegiatan sorogan.---- This research is motivated by the difference of sorogan method practice done on two boarding schools salafiyah namely boarding Raudhatul Ulum with Al-Barokah Pesantren. The first pesantren only deposits the memorization of text from the contents of the book once a week. Santri felt less understanding of the book with the method. While the second pesantren deposited the contents of the book along with the question and answer session so students continue to be trained to understand the contents of the book. This difference in sorogan practice is seen as influencing the level of understanding of santri on the content of the book. The purpose of this research is to analyze sorogan method in yellow book study related to planning, implementation, evaluation and constraint in Al-Barokah pesantren. The research method used is descriptive qualitative study. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview and documentation study. The results of this study kyai prepare learning planning that is preparing the learning media in the form of microfon and whiteboard and divide the group to facilitate students in studying the book which will be evaluated directly by kyai. The implementation of sorogan method consists of santri translating, listening to the explanation kyai then santri deposit the contents of the book to kyai and mentors. Evaluation sorogan that is read back the contents of the book along with explanations and questions and answers (verbal tests) and writing tests. Obstacles faced by santri when sorogan method is found in santri that is lazy to sorogan. The constraints from outside the students are limited time, less effective mentors in helping activities sorogan.
