Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena kurangnya pemahaman peserta didik tentang pemanfaatan Perpustakaan SMA Negeri 4 Bandung, khususnya pada peserta didik baru. Latar belakang tersebut menjadi pertimbangan peneliti untuk menerapkan pendidikan pemustaka melalui library tour. Penelitian ini dirancang sedemikian rupa dengan rumusan masalah umum dan khusus. Rumusan masalah umum penelitian ini, “Bagaimana Penerapan Program Komunitas Melalui Library Tour Di SMA Negeri 4 Bandung?. Rumusan masalah khusus penelitian ini, 1) Bagaimana pemahaman peserta didik sebelum pelaksanaan library tour di perpustakaan di SMA Negeri 4 Bandung?. 2) Bagaimana rancangan penerapan program komunitas melalui library tour di SMA Negeri 4 Bandung?, 3) Bagaimana pelaksanaan penerapan program komunitas melalui library tour di SMA Negeri 4 Bandung?, 4) Bagaimana pendapat peserta didik tentang penerapan program komunitas melalui library tour di SMA Negeri 4 Bandung?, 5) Bagaimana pendapat guru tentang penerapan program komunitas melalui library tour di SMA Negeri 4 Bandung?. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan atau action research dengan pengambilan data melalui kuesioner, observasi dan wawancara. Penelitian tindakan ini dilakukan pada satu kelas yang terdiri dari 31 orang. Pelaksanaan pendidikan pemustaka dirancang dengan membuat rancangan kegiatan yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi peserta didik yang merupakan kondisi awal kurangnya pemahaman tentang pendidikan pemustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta didik setelah dilakukannya penerapan pendidikan pemustaka melalui library tour. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa kegiatan library tour berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik tentang pendidikan pemustaka. Kegiatan pendidikan pemustaka melalui library tour ini dapat digunakan oleh pengelola perpustakaan untuk mengenalkan perpustakaan SMA Negeri 4 Bandung khususnya kepada peserta didik baru.---- This research background from less known from the students about the use of Library in SMA Negeri 4 Bandung, especially the fresh Students. That background became the researcher’s consideration to implements the library education by library tour. This research designed in such way with the concept general and special problems. The general problem in this research is "How the implementation of community programs through the Library Tour In SMA Negeri 4 Bandung?. The special problems of this research are: 1) How understanding learners before the implementation of the library tour library at SMA Negeri 4 Bandung?, 2) How to design the implementation of community programs through the library tour in SMA Negeri 4 Bandung?, 3) How the implementation of the application of community programs through the library tour in SMA Negeri 4 Bandung?, 4) How are the opinions of the learners about the application of community programs through the library tour in SMA Negeri 4 Bandung?, 5) How the opinions of teachers about the application of community programs through the library tour in SMA Negeri 4 Bandung?. The researcher uses Action Research with data retrieval using Questionnaire, Observation, and Interview. This Research conducted on a class consist of 31 persons. Users Education made with activity design made by adjusted to the initial condition lack of understanding about the Users Education. The research result shown the increasing of students understanding after the Research done. It proves that library tour activity success to increase the understanding of students about Users Education. This activity can be used by the Library User manager through library tour for introducing this method to the SMA Negeri 4 Bandung students, especially for fresh students.
