Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV B, hal tersebut disebabkan karena pemilihan model atau metode pembelajaran yang kurang menuntut siswa aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada upaya peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa dengan menerapkan model kooperartif tipe CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan dan peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa dengan menerapakan model kooperartif tipe CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model kemmis & Mc. Taggart yang dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi kemudian dibuat perencanaan perbaikan yang digunakan dalam siklus selanjutnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui analisis observasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan tes. Data menunjukan bahwa pada siklus I rerata kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa sebesar 77 dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 64%, dan rerata pada siklus II sebesar 91 dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 96%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model kooperartif tipe CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa. Abstract: This research is motivated by the problem of low ability to read comprehension of grade IV B students, it is because the selection of models or learning methods that are less demanding students are active in the learning process. This research focuses on improving students' reading comprehension by implementing cooperative Integrated Reading Composition (CIRC) model. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation and improvement of students' reading comprehension by applying Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition (CIRC) model. The research method used in this research is Research Action Class model kemmis & Mc. Taggart starting from planning, execution, observation and reflection then made improvement planning used in the next cycle. This research was conducted in two cycles. Data collection is done through observation analysis of learning and test implementation. The data shows that in cycle I the average reading comprehension ability of 77 students with the percentage of completeness of 64%, and the average in cycle II of 91 with 96% percentage of mastery. It can be concluded that the implementation of Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition (CIRC) model can improve students' reading comprehension.
