Abstract
Penelitian ini disusun dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan struktur koba Panglimo Awang, fungsi, dan pemanfaatannya dalam bahan ajar berbentuk buku pengayaan, serta bagaimana konteks penuturan, penciptaan dan pewarisannya di masyarakat Melayu Pasir pengaraian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskripstif kualitatif. Untuk menjawab rumusan masalah peneliti menggunakan teknik wawancara, perekaman audio video, kegiatan observasi langsung, dan catatan lapangan dalam proses mengumpulkan data. Partisipan tunggal dalam penelitian ini adalah Pak Taslim selaku tukang toba atau orang yang menceritakan atau menuturkan koba. Hasil analisis menunjukkan struktur koba dari segi bentuk sintaksis (peran fungsi dan kategori), bunyi (rima, aliterasi dan asonansi), serta majas (perbandingan, pertentangan, dan pengulangan) yang terlingkup di dalam struktur non-naratif, serta kajian struktur faktual cerita pada struktur naratif yang terdiri atas alur, tokoh, latar, dan tema yang mampu memberikan gambaran kehidupan masyarakat Melayu Pasir pengaraian melalui nasihat-nasihat dan petuah-petuahnya. Penuturan koba ditinjau dari konteks budaya dan konteks situasi untuk mendapatkan bentuk kebersamaan penutur dan pendengar (audiens). Proses penciptaan koba dengan menghafal serta improvisasi penutur memungkinkan menjadi acuan pola pewarisan yang biasanya dilakukan secara vertikal. Sebagai sarana hiburan dan media pendidikan dan kebijaksanaan koba diyakini mampu mencerminkan proyeksi kebudayaan masyarakat terdahulu. ;---This research is prepared with the aim of describing the structure of Koba Panglimo Awang's, functions, and utilization in teaching materials in enrichment books form, and how the context of narration, creation and inheritance in the Malay Pasir pengaraian community. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. To answer the problem formulation the researcher uses interviewing techniques, audio video recording, direct observation activities, and field notes in the process of collecting data. The single participant in this research is mr. Taslim as a storyteller of koba or someone who tells or tells(narration) of koba. The results of the analysis show that the koba structure in terms of syntactic form (role of function and category), sound (rhyme, alliteration and asonansi), and majas (comparison, contradiction, and repetition) enclosed in non-narrative structure, and study of the factual structure of stories on the narrative structure consisting of plots, characters, backgrounds, and themes that can give a narration of the life of the Malay Pasir pengaraian community through the advices. The narrative is examined from the cultural context and situation context to get the form of togetherness of the narrator and the audience. The process of creating koba by memorizing and improvisation of narrators allows a reference to the pattern of inheritance that is usually done vertically. As a means of entertainment and educational media and wisdom, koba believed to be able to reflect the projection of the culture of the previous community.
