Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang ditemukan pada saat pengamatan pada siswa kelas V di salah satu SD di Kecamatan Sukajadi. Sebanyak 75% siswa memiliki motivasi belajar yang rendah terhadap pelajaran matematika. Hal ini disebabkan pembelajaran yang berjalan secara konvensional tanpa memberikan pengalaman langsung. Model Quantum Teaching diharapkan dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan penerapan model quantum teaching serta mendeskripsikan peningkatan motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelas V SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model Kemmis dan Taggart yang terdiri dari dua siklus dengan setiap siklusnya terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Data hasil penelitian menunjukan pelaksanaan penerapan model quantum teaching untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika siswa pada siklus I dan siklus II mengalami perkembangan. Tahap tumbuhkan, tahap alami, tahap namai, dan tahap demonstrasikan mengalami perkembangan. Pada siklus I rerata motivasi belajar matematika siswa adalah 69% mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II sebesar 20% menjadi 89%. Simpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu penerapan model quantum teaching dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika siswa. ;---This research is motivated by the problems that found during the observation on the V grade students in one elementary school in Kecamatan Sukajadi. As many as 75% of students have low learning motivation on math lessons. This is due to conventional learning without providing a direct experience. Quantum Teaching model is expected to improve students' math motivation. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the application of quantum teaching model to describe the increase in motivation to learn mathematics of students of grade V SD. This study uses the method of Action Research Class Kemmis and Taggart model consisting of two cycles with each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data of research result showed the implementation of quantum teaching model to improve students' mathematics learning motivation in cycle I and cycle II progressed. Growing stages, natural stage, stage name, and demonstration stage are progressing. In the first cycle of student's learning motivation is 69% increase in cycle II by 20% to 89%. The conclusion of this research is the application of quantum teaching model can improve students' learning motivation in math lesson.
